I was thinking about tossing out various crazy premises for stories or other short-ish writing, and then seeing what people might be able to come up with - sort of an ongoing challenge to keep those of us interested in writing to do so on a regular basis. The overall setup would be as follows:
1) I or someone else posts a premise/concept for a story or short work.
2) People decide if they want to write something for it and commit a yay/nay on thread.
3) Everyone has 2 weeks from the first posting to write something and post it on thread. (people late to sign up have less time, but that's no big deal - pressure deadlines can be fun!)
4) After 2 weeks are up, constructively discuss each other's work.
Who would be up for something like this? Technically, I think anyone should be able post a concept for people to tackle, not just me, but I'd be happy to do the first couple to get the ball rolling.

You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.
