Embarrassing Problem

The consensus of opinion seems to be to hold off New SPring for some time, I don't know.... I like prequels in general.... on the other hand, I don't actually have New Spring, whereas my brother has the main series itself...... which is my main bonus.. I don't need to buy the books. All I spend is time... which temporarily I have.

New Spring provides some pretty big spoilers for the first handful of books.

To chime in, I boarded the WOT bandwagon late in the game (I think all the books except the last two were out at the time), and I read them all successively.
I enjoyed the first few, slogged mostly through the middle ones, and enjoyed MOST of how Sanderson ended it.
But after I did so, I looked at the collection of books on my shelf and decided to sell it as I'd never ever read it again, and that I'd largely wasted my time.
So, YMMV, but I'm a little conflicted I'd spent so much money on a series that I only enjoyed about 6 books of.

Carbon copy of what I did - right down to selling the books after finishing!
I think the suggestion to Wiki-read the slowest of the slow books is a good one, and may help you through the Wastelands of Twilight at least. For all the bad press it (mostly rightly) receives it definitely has plenty of good points - at least with Wiki-reads you'll be able to trim the fat (there's a lot of it....)

A nice reference site for all things Wheel of Time. Summaries of all chapters. An excellent resource for anyone re-reading the series or wanted to get back into the series.

“The others followed, and found themselves in a small, stuffy basement, which would have been damp, smelly, close, and dark, were it not, in fact, well-lit, which prevented it from being dark.”

Isn't New Spring the novella about them fixing up a mattress? I mean the title says it all, really. You can skip it.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

One might even say you can bounce over it?

Thanks a lot. The 1st chapter in New Spring is called the Hook? Really? Are you sure it isn't about fishing in the spring or something?
But thanks a lot. That site looked helpful. Its impossible to get through large-scale series without some help. i practically lived on these forum boards when reading MBotF for the 1st time.
