I think we have to assume that Itkovian, being the previous Shield Anvil, would know who is replacement was. Intuition, I guess...

ok, while i understand the role/positon of the Shield Anvil, what i'm confused about is how someone becomes the shield anvil. when itkovian makes the captain (nerul?) the new shield anvil for the grey swords, nothing is really done. is it just as simple as itkovian saying "you're the shield anvil now"? or did i miss something?
