We should have a Norwegian/Scandinavian meet-up, yes? How many of us live in or around Oslo? Where do other people live.

Morgys up there somewhere.
I have been meaning to get back up there at sometime.
but my yes would be so ridiculously provisional.

Morgy is busy right now. He will mostly be internet incommunicado for the next week or so at least. But yes he does live somewhere in the frozen land of Thor and Odin.

This sounds so tempting after checking out Ryanair prices for August flights. Also not actually in Scandinavia but close enough (Estonia - the wannabe Scandinavic country).

Just wait 2 years until I'm done with my master and I'm in. Can't see any other reason to travel further south then Trondheim.

I have some small openings before Sarah gets up
I live in Oslo, and would not be opposed to a meet. I wouldn't oppose going to Copenhagen, though Oslo is far superior in all regards.

To be honest I really want to see Oslo, and would opt for "new experience" over "convenience."
I feel like I shouldn't have lived in DK for over seven years and not visited Norway at least once.

I know most of the best places in Oslo, and could easily organise something similar to the manchester/london meet (though I am not able to do anything as impressively elaborate as Mal and Hazel's bbq).

Oh, that would've been awesome! I can help, maybe, oooh, maybe I can have people over for dinner like I did with Corporal Nobbs! I think we can sit ten around our dining room table. But I live a little ways outside Oslo, like 50 minutes by bus, or 15-20 minutes by train then 15 minutes by bus

Alas, July/August will not work for me either. September or October?

I might make a show if it means meeting my favourite lovely, hairy, were-dolphin loving, shipper-Finn, Kaamos! I think flights for a long weekend to Oslo might be relatively cheap if I can book the time off (and clear it with Mrs Tiste...)
EDIT a quick look on Norwegian Airways says that London to Oslo is about £80 return (before tax etc.) not bad at all. I did just pick a random date in September mind...

Norwegian are (obviously) based in Oslo and fly there from a hell of a lot of destinations.
And have free Wi-Fi on board!

Yeah, if we're talking of making something happen, I would think september is the earliest possible time to do it. I mean, I live in Oslo so it's hardly a problem for me, but I figure the people willing to travel need some time.
