Another point to support this idea - Tapper's likely one of Atrahal, Ampelas or Eloth. I'd like to see Tapper die sooner rather than later. The longer he lives, the better chance he has of figuring everything out. He's uncanny at doing it!

Venge's philosophy about clearing WIFOM is an interesting one. On the one hand, he makes very good points about using town lynches to create certainty. Scum thrive on the lack of that and it will make it marginally easier to get things right on D-Day if there aren't any wildcards floating around. On the other hand, the timescales in Mafia do not give you time to check everyone. In most games you get maybe three or four incorrect lynches, and if you waste a couple of them 'just to be sure' you don't give yourself many opportunities to get things right.

As I see it, it's a trade-off - you make D-Day easier by lynching to clear WIFOM, but you make it less likely to lynch scum prior to that point because you're focusing on too small a subset of the players in the game. Personally, I think it's better to try to use each lynch to catch who you think mostly likely to be scum on a given day, irrespective of WIFOM concerns, but I can understand the other position.
