Question about the Tyrant's acorn

Okay. I'm an old time reader of the books and I logged on once before quite a while ago and then forgot my password and user name. Whatever.

I have a quick question that someone else has asked me and I can barely remember the plot twists in GotMoon.

What was it that had a hold of the tyrant's acorn? I understand blowing him up but what was trying to drag him away?
