Announcing House of Chains by Steven Erikson

House of Chains by Steven Erikson

We're happy to announce House of Chains, the fourth volume of Steven Erikson's the Malazan Book of the Fallen. This time out, we're joined by a new artist, Sam Burley, whose work falls nicely into the range of Michael Komarck, who helmed volume one, and J. K. Drummond, who provided the illustrations for volumes two and three.

House of Chains is fully designed, needing to be proofed only once more, and, best of all, the artwork is already half done. You can check out one of Sam's interior illustrations on the book's product page.

Please note that we're only able to offer Free US shipping for the first few days this title is up for preorder.

About Our Edition:

Collectors note: You may only order the corresponding limited or lettered edition if you own Memories of Ice, the previous book in the series.

Collectors note #2: The exclusive preorder period for House of Chains ends March 31, 2014. We'll send out a newsletter opening the title to the public after that date.

Subterranean Press is proud to announce the fourth volume of The Malazan Book of the Fallen. We're working with a new artist, Sam Burley, on this volume in the series.

The numbered edition will:

Be printed on 80# Finch paper, guaranteeing a lifetime of enjoyment
Be illustrated with a number of full color interior illustrations

The lettered edition will include everything in the numbered, plus the following features:

A completely different dust jacket
A gatefold pull-out illustration
A custom traycase to protect your book

Limited: 500 numbered copies, hardcover, signed by the author: $150
Lettered: 52 copies, deluxe bound, signed by author, housed in a custom traycase: $325

anybody received their limited or lettered books yet? Subterranean Press said they shipped last week and I saw photos of the gorgeous books on their Facebook. Can't wait to get mine! I'm in the UK so I expect around a week longer shipping minimum at this time of year though. Got the lettered version in bound to match my other 3 can't wait!

Got my numbered last Wednesday, it's beautiful! It's the first one I got directly from Subpress and my god it feels so good just to hold it  I'm in northern ireland, so maybe the lettered editions were last to ship/shipped seperately?

So worth the money <3 I'm in love.

Nice! Yeah maybe they were last, although sending 552 books just of Erikson mine could well have sent right at the end of the week anyways sot it's just a waiting game sadly! This will be the first I have had direct from them too, can't wait!

Agreed totally worth the money!

how long does it usually take to get the lettered editions of these books after people have started receiving their numbered? I know the numbered shipped and arrived ages ago, but the lettered still hasn't been shipped :-(

Two of my SubPress orders have shipped this week.
But how do I know which (lettered) editions actually are in the mail?
I'm waiting for the Erikson book, Dan Simmons' Endymion and also the lettered Half a King.
The shipping notices SubPress sends don't say anything about the actual book that was shipped.

I would ask Sub Press to be honest mate, I am only due to recieve HoC and Rogues, and Rogues has not been confirmed as shipping yet, so it must Hoc, as for one of the other 2, only Sub Press can tell you I suppose, nice position to be in though, awaiting 3 epic books! Posted Image
