Thanks man,

This one took 4 hours but had I not been watching this video - - a whooooole lot then it would have taken a buttload longer haha. Seriously though that youtube channel is a helluva skill boosting tool.

haha good to be back man and I'm glad you like the pic. Here's another one for the road.
I think this turned out to be more of a 'what if Rake was in WoW' than what I actually think he looks like but I learned a whole bunch from drawing him like this.

Feng is a legend. Been watching his vids for a couple of years now. Always inspiring.
Rejoice. For very bad things are about to happen

Ooooooo I love that Rake!! :p Wonderful armor detail, dramatic lighting, and textures.

Also I could've sworn I dropped a comment on that whirlwind images, but apparently not...love the bright ocher colors here. One kind of has to step away from the screen and squint a bit to discern the storm in the background. Whatchamacallit...impressionistic? :-D

thanks Kaamos, there's a quote from my Erikson somewhere on the net that says that no one in the Malazan world has plate armour so that kinda irks me about the picture but I reeeeeaaaaallly wanted to try some of this guys techniques out (fair warning after seeing this guy work you'll look at the Rake pic with a sentiment more akin to 'tut' nice try!'

Aye I hear you there's no detail to speak of just mark making, colour and composition theory and strained memories of Deadhouse gates.
