Since several of you guys have contacted me to see if the my friend still works at the downtown Holiday Inn. Unfortunately she does not and none of my other friends have entered the hotel business.

Now that doesn't mean that it won't be possible for all of you out of towners end up at the same hotel for a low price. I would like to direct you guys to

The places that you want to stay are downtown or River North or Gold Coast. All of those are basically downtown. For those of you who came last time you guys stayed in River North.

Peed off several mountains, none above 9k feet because it's a pain in the ass to go higher equipped as I am.

Also suffering through Montezuma's Revenge right now. It's not life threatening bad like it was eighteen years ago, but it's not pleasant.

Chicago is much more pleasant in terms of food/drink safety and variety, even if it doesn't have the scenery or extensive family network.

Also, I'll be solo in Chicago as the lady I came with before is no longer my partner. That'll be fun as well.

So, Vengyboy can't do the hook-up, but I wonder if we purchased as a group we could maybe get a discount or something? Seems like we'll have a good group of rooms, at the least we can ask various hotels.

Half the fun comes from having the same hotel for pre-game/post-game get togethers. Chi 2012 was awesome for that.

We went to the Museum with Sue last time, so we shall have to go to the Aquarium this time. I believe they are very close to each other, and the Museum was in walking distance of where we stayed.

I'm currently making nefarious plans to get the GF to do her conference in Boston and then catch a plane to Chicago where she'll meet me, to then fly from there to NYC, instead of doing a Boston-> NYC-> Chicago triangle. Wish me luck. Or not
