Trains should be imminently doable for everyone in Chicago. It'll probably be more confusing for Americans than visitors.

Like Lady B, the GF and I will be touching down in Chicago on Friday.
We'll probably hit the Taste of Chicago Food Festival straightaway, but will be up for drinks on Friday evening, I assume.
Saturday is firmly claimed as "~~Nerd~~ Forum Day." The GF will try and read GotM to be a proper attendant, too.

@ Vengy: Bad Apple looks awesome, as does the beer selection. Good to see there's veggie options, too. Also saves me from smuggli... err, sending a crate of beer :laughing:

Check out this hostel HI-Chicago. I want to go but I am unsure if I will be able to go since im poor as well and was looking at some hostels. This one is DT and its $37 a night for a group bedroom or $109 for a 2 person room. I am usure about parking since I would probably drive down and would need to park somewhere. Maybe I should just sleep in the car...

There is this place that Khell just stayed at it is not in the loop but it is close to the blue line train.

It also has free parking available. Which is pretty huge. You can park and then take the train or a taxi to the everything else.
