Holy shit, there is rumor that Larry David will be cast to play Mister Mxyzptlk. That would be the bees knees!

I would pay good money to NEVER have to watch something with Larry David in it ever again. That guy isn't remotely funny.

And yes, this includes Seinfeld, which has 3 funny episodes in its entire run.

And I'm aware I'm alone in that opinion, lol.

I never liked Seinfeld either. Solidarity brother!

I honestly thought I was totally alone in that opinion.

Solidarity indeed!

In earth shattering news bigger than the batman announcement.

I agree completely with QT, Seinfeld is not a fun y show, Larry David is not a funny or entertaining man.

Several of you should be kept in cages and fed through slots for all time.

To return to the Batman thing, I was almost convinced by all the equivocations about how Affleck could pull it off, he's a good actor and he's on an upswing and all that, and sure I've liked him in a few roles for sure...and then the promotions for Runner Runner started happening, with him yelling JTims about taking a beating and all that. I cannot think of a less intimidating human being. Wallace Shawn would make a better Batman.

My biggest concern is that off the back of all the nay saying his batman will turn his attempt to play it menacing and dark into an almost Lampoon of Bales

Anyone heard any of the rumours that shor round Twitter that Bieber might be down to play Robin? Hopefully nothing in it but if true, that would be the deal breaker for me...

Khal Drogo in negotiations, rumored to be for Doomsday. Superman is fucked if there is any truth to this.

Hmm. I wonder what "Movie Doomsday" looks like. I'd immediatly expect them to go for the Animated Hulk solution that Marvel uses, but if they are picking an actor known for his physical size, maybe they'll make him human size then?

Doomsday would be better as CG I think. Humanizing him was not as successful as it could have been in the Smallville series. Darkseid would be an awesome villain to take on in a Nolan/Snyderesque universe. Introducing Doomsday is a hugely positive step in the Darkseid direction so i'm pretty pleased eitherway.

I'm fairly certain Doomsday will turn out to be mo-cap. Can't really see him working any other way - Hulk is a superficially similar character, but with Hulk they can (and did) emphasise his face whereas Doomsday is a blank, so everything about him (even if it's just the original 'rage-machine' Doomsday) has to come from body language. Which would be very hard to do with pure CG.

Indeed. Doomsday doesn't need to be "cast".

He's a nebulous Kryptonian beast. He has a definitive "look", but other than being a biped with arms...he's not human looking at all.

If Khal Drogo is in this, I'll bet he's someone else.

*Hem hem* I was kind of making the opposite point... he does need to be cast, it just won't be the actor in question directly on screen. He'll be like opposite-Gollum - made oversized instead of dead skinny.

I can see Jason Maomam's physicality being a fit for it, actually (though I'd like to see him play Vandal Savage - though not introduced in this next film, since it's getting overcrowded as it is).

I didn't realise they'd actually mo-capped Rufallo for some of the Hulk though (I knew they'd used his face as a basis for Hulk's obviously, but didn't realise the rest was him too). Fair enough.

It's all so clear now, it's right there in the name....Man of Steel and its sequels will all actually be prequels to 1997's Steel.

They are stuffing this movie so full of heroes and villians that it can't help but be crap. You would think that they would at least have the good smarts to follow the Avengers play book rather then fill up one movie expect everyone to fill in the gaps and back story from the web and go... Of course I still haven't seen the Avengers or Man of Steel so you can tell that I can.... :D
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.
