I've started DG again. Finished GotM few days ago, and though I've read it twice before, it was the first re-read since completing the series about a year ago.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a good debut novel, and it offers so much in terms of re-reading.
Anyway, thought I'd bring this up as DG is one of my favourite books of all time along with MoI. I've read it thrice, although that was while I was waiting for TBH to come out. Same with MoI, probably why they're my favs.
Anyhow, seems we'll be embarking on the epic, harsh, heart-wrenching, profound, funny and ass-kicking character laden yarn that is Deadhouse Gates together. So, give me a prompt of where you're upto now and then, and if you've any questions, feel free.

Also, you're about to get pulled the fuck in man!!

I'm "pulled the fuck in", already man! It's why I bought DG yesterday. Also got a few from library (D. Gemmell, NK. Jemisin). Was going to start DG in work tonight, but might give my throbbing head a break for a few days and start it in the weekend.
Will keep you posted as and when and how far etc. and tx in advance for your help should I need it (and probably will!!).

Hi, sorry for late reply, been dogged by so many things lately, work etc., that I just ain't had the time. I hate to have to admit to this but I gave up with 'DG' after about 200 pages.. BUT!! after reading or part reading other stuff I couldn't help but keep thinking ".. this is soooooooo f'ing boring, I'm going to have to get back to Erikson and Deadhouse Gates.." It was only then that I realised how much I missed it. I not long ago started LotR, so going to finish that THEN I'm getting back to Erikson... for good.!

So yea, I'm definitely "..pulled the f*** in.. " this time bro.

So that's my Crimbo pressie sorted; - That'll be 10 Steven Erikson books please dear wife! lol.
