Haven't had much time. Busy as fuck, too.

A couple of pages back, Hanas mentioned he was suspicious that Rashan knows Alkend is town - which, as he pointed out, was highly convenient. That lead to a spat over who said what where which lead to namecalling and technicality quotes about what one said or did not say and whether what they said covered their intent.
We are in a position where we have PIed Alkend and Rashan. Scum has done nothing yet about these PIs, even though there are now two of them. Both had shaky stories: Alkend something that couldn't be proven but set up a symp-rescue, Rashan a weird logic to the vig with a weird timing.

I am going back to where it all started.

Vote Alkend.

Vote Alkend

with Venge's death, Alkend's role is now useless.

So you believe his reveal (otherwise, his role would not be useless), but want to lynch him anyway?
That's super scummy.

Remove vote
Vote Rashan

1. What are you? A retard? I have been asking you guys to lynch me for 2 game days. I will vote myself. (As I have done before)
2.I always said I believed his reveal. Now that Venge is dead I no longer can have a lover convo so don't care either way.

1. I severely dislike the tendency to brand people a retard and I abhor the fact that has become a feature of mafia lately. Call someone a goat shagging inbred, brain-dead, whatever floats your boat, but the derogative name for someone with a syndrome is tasteless, just like wishing someone the cancer or something.

2. The fact you don't get is that voting someone you believe is town (Alkend, and you believe he is town because you believe his reveal) is NOT GOOD TOWNPLAY. You disagree with my reason for voting Alkend, because you believe he is town, and yet you have no qualms whatsoever to vote him because he has no use to you anymore.
One: you don't vote someone you believe is town.
Two: you don't vote someone just because you think he has no use to you anymore unless you are scum.
Three: town cares about information and narrowing the suspect pool. Lynching someone who you believe is town is not narrowing the suspect pool.

The Takeda spy watched from his position on the small hill well beyond the Fujiwari line. So far not much was happening, the Fujiwari seemed uncharacteristcally cautious. They seemed more content to shift their formations and send messages to and fro. The spy plucked a nearby grassroot to chew on and absently scratched his arse. The flies on this hill were getting worse.
A new set of motion caught his eye, on the plain just East of the castle a larger skirmish was taking place. It seemed a group of messengers and escorts had encountered a small sortie from the castle. I furious exchange of blows with several soldiers toppling from their saddles. Some got up again, a few others did not. The agent bit through his grass stem and turned back to the main field of Fujiwari soldiers. He hoped something worthwhile happened soon, so he could make a decent report.

Doing some flippy floppy sparse re-reading. Here's some random thoughts:

1 - I agree this Rashan bit has gone far enough, time to look elsewhere

2 - if you want to pursue the idea of scum having not gotten their kill order in, you need to go far enough back that they wouldn't have put in a weekend provisional either, so before PS started announcing mid-Friday that the timer would keep going all weekend. I don't think this is a very dependable scum-finding tactic, given that we've had other nights with no kills, but go for it if you like. Also, bear in mind with double NKs there's probably two separate killers with their own NKs instead of paired.

3 - As for looking for new targets, I'd like us to look closer at Jalan and Barghast. Both of them give me a vibe of not caring too much about the game/town success. Being absent is one thing, but Barghast will be present but not make much effort to push things. Like making "alternate option" votes without any additional explanation of why his alternative might be scummy.

So here's D'riss summarized this game:

He mentions recruiting, which gets promptly shot down and causes the conflict between him and Lio.
He OMGUS votes Lio for Introducing WIFOM on thread after lio votes him for the recruitment comment.
He has a snarky to Lio
He leaves his vote on for a while, but the removes it, and goes on to vote Desra a bit later.
He says he sees merit in an Alkend lynch, but doesn't vote, instead asking for other options. Noncommital
He's gone for a while, but returns in time to drop a drive by vote on Cast
When he gets back, he agrees with Okaros, and proceeds to actually vote Alkend, but calls Rashan suspicious.
He reiterates his alkend suspicions, but backs off after Alkend's response to him.

I'm noticing a pattern here. He sets up a main target and looks for or finds a backup(i.e. Alkend/Rashan, Alkend/looking for another target), staying relatively noncommital votewise. He seems to have tried to go under the radar after the Lio spat. This could be scum trying to not be noticed after the Lio stuff and subsequent NK of Lio, which may have been him trying to take out someone who went after him, but NK analysis does not a good case make. In all honesty, D'riss has acted scummily this game, but not (imo) egregiously so. That actually makes someone seems scummier to me, because scum would be aware of what is scummy, and try to avoid it. His playstyle is scummy enough to be noticeable, but not so much so as to convince me that no sane scum would play that way, and make him less suspicious. There's not enough evidence there to convince me thoroughly as to him being scum, but I know for sure I'll at least keep an eye on him.

quotes would be nice, but beggars can't be choosers.

I'll

vote D'riss

b/c I have a strong feeling people are barking up the wrong tree with Rash. so I want to leave some options on the table, in case I don't wake up in time for the timeout.

g'night, y'all

His reaction to the PS vote mix-up event seemed rather joking to me, too, while everyone else around him was clamouring for more time or a fix because they wanted to get the lynch like townies would.

Jalan I'm sure you've all seen. He is snarky and dismissive, which makes him seem present, but at the same time it's his excuse for being low in content and to make very little effort.

You've been gone for days, and now you want to run that mouth, let's see your content, let's think about your contributions

hmmmm, drawing a blank for some reason

I wish people would look at the construction of their own abodes before proceeding with the launch of projectiles of a mineral aggregate nature

The fact that someone has contributed little does not automatically dismiss or invalidate any cases they might present.

As previously stated I'm suspicious of Barghast, however I'm unable to put a case together till my situation improves.

I have worn out at least one finely tooled leather seating apparatus designed for equine mammals of all orientations with the process of mounting & dismounting

I'm just so darn moody anymore, maybe I'm losing my mind or something

Anyway, Mockra seems to be working hard in the last few posts, except for the padding a little bit

why you want to bring the goat-shagging inbreds into this?

I don't think we should vote someone that is believed to be town, either, but I don't think everyone agrees either with me or with the fact that Rash or Alky are VPI

Whoever said let's go in a new direction is probably right

Yeah, I know, he seems so much more like an idiot townie than a scum, but it's the principle of the thing. He is not playing like someone who wants town to win, plain and simple. That, by principle, makes him vote-worthy, and if we don't lynch him for it then it just gives the excuse to future idiot townies to play like shit so they don't get lynched OR for scum to play like idiot townies so they don't get lynched. That is not the kind of mafia I would want to ever play, so the line must be drawn here.

It is Day 6. 8 hours and 55 minutes remaining
13 Players still alive: Alkend, Anthras, Barghast, Eloth, Gait, Galain, Jalan, Korbas, Mockra, Okaros, Rashan, Tellan, Trake

2 Votes for Rashan ( Gait, Okaros )
1 Vote for Alkend ( Rashan )

Players not voted: Alkend, Anthras, Barghast, Eloth, Galain, Jalan, Korbas, Mockra, Tellan, Trake

This mod is going to bed. 9 hours of sleep being as unlikely as a Mogora and Pust sex scene, I will be back to do any resolution.

I have more interesting things to do than posting and refreshing a hundred times for a reply. Is it really difficult to find out why I'm not really playing?

So the purpose of going for Rashan again is what exactly? Thinking back, hasn't Jalan missed two lynches by a couple of hours but put a vote down anyway? Possibly hoping for the lynch to fail and yet wanting to be seen to be trying?
