I haven't read FoD nor the last couple ICE novels, but I believe I read somewhere that Hood is written about during his younger years, and is quite proficient with a weapon. I can't remember, but I had wondered at how Hood would go about defending against the sword.

Also, it looks like Hood is marching his way through opponents of all skill levels so far, with an extremely close one with Gothos, the complete devestation of Karsa, and now what appears to be his man-handling of the great Dassem Ultor(so far).

Hood joins Rake as two of our highest ranked characters by tier so far.

Honestly, I asked this like two months ago. I can't believe you of all people still haven't read it. :crybaby:

Seriously, though, I don't know. Dassem is amazing at swordfighting, and a total badass, and now is the Seguleh 1st, but I don't know how he was planning on beating Hood if he ever confronted him, back when he cared about that. Since, after all, the Jaghut bites the faces off Forkrul Assail and makes bridges of ice for himself because fuck going around obstacles.

Laseen did nothing wrong.

I demand Telorast & Curdle plushies.
