Dear Southern Belles and Gents,

I am looking for your Jambalaya recipes- indeed, Miss Savage has discovered the new Southern cuisine and can't get enough of it!!!! Posted Image

Please share your recipes or links to recipes or titles of great books - anything you think the rest of the world must have eaten otherwise they haven't lived and I'll embark on a culinary journey in my kitchen.

Your time and effort is much appreciated Posted Image

yours truly,
MS
but are they worth preserving?

Gumbo beats Jambalaya any day of the week! Saying that, the only ones I can cook or have ever tasted are in Jamie Oliver's America book which is my current favourite. Made Chicken Mole the other week which was interesting - always difficult cooking something new when you have no idea what it is supposed to taste like. Going to Boston next week, gonna eat me some crab. Mmmmmm.

The other half is currently cooking "Cajun Blackened Fish Steaks" from our Jamie Oliver "America" book. He just ran out of the kitchen gasping for air from all of the burning spices. Hope it tastes alright, I'm starving.

I make jambalaya from a box. Zatarains is actually pretty good. Not as good as homemade of course, but if you don't have much time to cook it is not bad. I need to try to make the real stuff sometime though.
