But Broadchurch did make me re-think what's his names (I may be drunk) abilities. He was great in Dr. Who. But he showed nothing new In Broadchurch.

My bet is Alice shows up either in the next ep or the last one. But she's WAY too popular to not show up. The teaser trailer actually had the line "will Alice return?" and then the answer was "Only Alice knows"...and I doubt that would have been in the teaser if she doesn't show up.

Luther showing silently up at the end of that tense scene with the two girls in their apt when the bad guy starts looking for the third girl...Luther is just there...wow, didn't see it coming and pumped my damned fist in the air....and then to chase that with the scene where Luther OWNS the Irish ex-internal affairs guy and Erin Gray so completely...and THEN where he hears Ripley's unwavering support of him on the recording. Fuck, that was just an excellent progression. Loving this 3rd series so far.

Watched it. Damn, this episode should have been called FUUUUUUCK! Damn, I liked Justin, and they were just really getting onto not only an even professional keel, but a social one as well. Still, a VERY solid episode, and I really like that they went for a vigilante / Dexter angle. It's a very interesting thing to watch Luther and Co. grapple with. I mean, imagine Luther having to fight off a mob with one hand, while supporting the weight of a convicted criminal like that to save him, while a guy who is basically killing off criminal sis running around. That would be rough!

And yeah. Alice showed up in the trailer and I squeed. Honestly, ask the Mrs. I squeed. Can't wait for next week!

I love that they end all three series with that line...and yeah, that finale was badass, and Alice stole the whole thing out from under everyone else. The last ten minutes or so where she walks in and helps Mary was simply television GOLD. LOVED it. So what's actually next? Well, Cross wrote a second LUTHER book (takes place after the finale, released in Sept.), and then either the movie or the BBC will get them to do a 4th series.

Either way, I'm down. That was a STELLAR series.

about the bullet wound. Shot in the arm and he can beliveably 'walk it off' for the rest of the episode. But it's a bit more difficult to buy with the leg shot. YMMV.

And Alice?

Yeah, I was a bit skeptical of her reappearance mostly because of the reason she came back. I just can't see her really thinking that Luther would be willing to disappear with her. But her deciding to save Mary led to an awesome ten minutes of chase.

I know it won't every happen, but I think she would make a fantastic Doctor.

Just came across the trailer for the new "season" (which I'm guessing is the same one you mention QT), which would appear to only be a two-parter in the UK, and will be broadcast as a single feature length special in the US a few days later.
Episode 1 is on the 15th December, ep2 22 December. Nice cheerful christmas fare
