Oh, I am an idiot. A whole forum of artists and I've been beating my head against a wall.

I'm wanting to make our game board easier for players to view updates on their phones.

I need a lattice of individual regular hexagons. No fill. Bliack stroke. Canvass is blank. Put the lattice on layer 1. Group, but don't flatten.

And probably the most important for me, the correct snap to settings saved with the document. I can get a hexagon. I just can't get the damn things to click together properly.

I'm using inkscape on OSX. So svg file is best?

gawd I am such an idiot
I just figured out why I've been screwing up. Intersecting lines are not the same length. Using a square grid won't work.
Custom guides seem to be working just dandy.

So, do you need it still? I can make some hexagons if you wish. If so, let me know the size and numbers.

Sorry, I didn't see your reply. Thanks but I finally figured it out.

Dumping inkscape for illustrator helped a lot. I do wish that Corel still did Apple though.
