Maybe Rodgers has a look at one of the Shaktar Brazilians who refused to go the Ukraine, like Douglas Costa. Apparently, Lacazette is also still an option. Both are mid twenties, talented and with some international experience, and I doubt their salaries would be problematic.

Heard any rumours. People are going mental around here. Main rumour is we're set to make a huge signing this weekend. Speculation is ranging from a few players. Reus and Cavani top 2. What's going on? ???

I think Reus' release clause only kicks in next year? I heard nothing surrounding Cavani, but I did read that LPL made an inquiry into Falcao - and was rebuffed because he's expected any day now to sign for Real. I think both BBC and Guardian reported that, though.

Liverpool have been told they can have striker Keita Balde Diao for £24million after opening talks with Lazio over a deal.
The Reds turned to the 19-year-old this week as they continue their hunt for attacking options following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Reports in Italy claim that Lazio have already rejected a bid from the Anfield club, but it is believed that Liverpool will return with an improved offer for a player who struck an incredible 47 goals in a single season whilst out on loan at Spanish side UE Cornella, the same team which Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba was sent to, in the 2010/11 season.
The 19-year-old striker linked up with the Serie A outfit in 2011 for a fee of £300,000, and scored five times in 23 senior appearances last season.

Yeah, I guess. Guardian said LPL informed after Falcao, Cavani and another big name. Don't really believe it - I doubt we have the money to pay the salaries for such players, especially after acquiring so many (who might be cheaper than Reina & Suarez, but are many more mouths to feed). Wonder if we're still going after Konoplyanka, the failed purchase from Dnipro from January.
