Hewllo all

Recently bought a bose Soundlink bluetooth speaker.
Its awesome, links to my phone no problem and has a pretty good sound.

However, when I try to connect my laptpo things go awry.

I turn it to discovery mode, turn on my laptops bluetooth, then connect to the speaker.
it adds the device but won't pair to it, drivers everything work bish bash boosh straight in no problems.

So, whats the problems?

I've deleted device, changed my bluetooth settings on my laptop, removed device, refound device, wanked about for about an hour, and still there it sits, Bose Soundlink, on my devices list, but it won't fucking pair.

I have googled and bing'd (got desperate) and all the help just redirects me to the how to discover a bluetooth device page or tells me to reset the speaker, neither of which fucking help
Anyone know of a simple reason why my laptop can find and identify the speaker but the pair option doesnt appear?

Off the top of my head: can the speaker be paired with two devices at once? You might need to unpair the phone from the speaker.

Little known fact is that there are actually 2 bluetooth protocols out in the wild, that nobody bothers to mention or interwork.

Do you have to switch the speaker to 'discoverable/listen/open' or something?

Ie: is it automatic or did something change after you paired it with your phone?

What's the laptop OS and make?
Soundlink 1, 2, or mini?

I set it to discoverable mode, the laptop finds it, lists it in the devices Bluetooth section, but wont pair to it.

i run windows 7, its a soundlink 1 i think. It just says soundlink, no mention of numbers, It definitely not the mini, the minis weren't available in store that day.

I think you're at the point where your options are calling customer support, or sacrificing a virgin meercat.

No, that's for wifi signal issues.

And i don't think this is serious enough to merit a goat, certainly not llama.

tho maybe look into whether you can aquire six hampsters and an albino turkey, just in case.

HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.
