Are you voting me for deflecting then Kalse? Not entirely sure on your case...

Would also be curious on your thoughts about Denul as Thyrs symp.

Is this meant to be for me? I am not a newb. I just asked so as to make sure I wasn't confusing what others were saying.
Anyway, I think that Trake is probably a townie. I will probably vote the same way as them. Are you voting yet Trake? And who for?
Well, so much for selling the noob card. As much as I do respect the person who said that we had plenty of time and therefore they wouldn't vote Thyr until closer to day end, I disagree. Thyr is simply jumping up and down yelling "hang me, hang me" here.
Vote Thyr

No. Why would I want to be lynched on day 1? I don't really understand what you are on about here. I am trying my best. PS did not post a summary, Kilava posted a summary, which was very nice of them. Perhaps you are the one who should read back.
PS posted a vote summary which is what you should have been looking for. 11 minutes later you said:

Whilst I'll concede it may well have sat unsent 11 minutes without you checking for updates, I think it unlikely.
Back in a few.
I don't really understand what you mean here. If you're talking about a vote update I must have missed it. My bad. But I've seen the one that PS has posted a few minutes ago. So Trake is voting for me then. Why didn't he just say so? Did he not want me to know he was voting for me? Why would he do that?
While I do think that Trake is inno, I don't think voting for me is a good idea. We are meant to be lynching people we think are killers, correct? I am not a killer. So I don't really see the reasoning there.
I will vote for myself if that is a good idea, though, in some way in which I don't understand. I haven't really been keeping up with this game as it's pretty complicated, so maybe I missed something again. Is it that we are just trying to cut down the number of people which the killers could be? That might be a good idea, but don't the killers get to kill in the nigh? And if they're going to kill two people, that will already cut down the numbers.

Also, there's no need to vote for yourself at this stage. We've got like 8 hours, and there's only 2 votes required to lynch you. You should only really vote yourself if it's totally necessary to get a lynch, so at the end of the day if it looks unlikely that it will be possible otherwise. In this case, that seems very unlikely to happen.

Also, I wouldn't bother reading much into why Trake didn't just say he was voting you. That would have been more useful maybe, but less sarcastic.

I realize that this is mafia. But it is malazan empire mafia. So I assumed that you all would understand the above. I was apparently wrong.

Okay, that's good advice, thanks Kilava. I'll remember for next time.
But why are there only 2 votes required to lynch me? Shouldn't there be 8 as with everyone else? I guess there's probably a good reason behind that, but I just don't see it, so sorry for the likely stupid question.

Oh right. Ha ha ha. Man, I am so dumb.
So is there any way I can not be lynched? I think this whole mess started with Denul voting for me and people saying that he was a symp, so what if we vote for him and see if he comes up as a symp?
Vote Denul
Although I guess if he does come up as a symp, then you will all think I am a killer, so it will only delay my lynch another day I suppose. Ha ha ha.

When lynched (or found etc), symps come up as innocent. What makes the role useful is that even if you lynch them, there's no way of knowing if they're a symp or not.

I mean really guys? You are going to lynch this? Really? You think his partner is just going to let him keep shooting himself in the foot? Ugh.

Oh. So there is no way to know? That's tough then. What am I supposed to do now? If I can avoid the lynch I promise that I'll be more useful on day 2. And if I can get to the weekend then I can have a proper read up of stuff and be able to find the killers. Otherwise, if you lynch me today, then I think that we will be three innocents down already by day 2, which is a lot!

Wow.
If Thyr is faking I want to give that guy an Oscar.
I'd be willing to vote for Denul, Trake, Spite, Thyrllan, Serc, Ryadd for all different reasons. Nothing big though as it's only day one. Denul for initial vote that started this mess, Trake for his aggressive play when confronted, Spite for coasting along voting with the flow not adding much, thyrllan in case signalling was right, Serc for seemingly.fake symping me, he had been too agreeable with me and follows my vote, and Ryadd because I think he is the actual symp.

Nope, no way to know.
As for what to do, trying to present a better case than the one on yourself is the standard, and most useful, way to go.
Also, standard mechanics are that the killers share a kill, so we'd only be two innocents down if you're inno. Which I'm sure is great comfort.

Who do you think Ryadd is symping, and wouldn't it be more sensible to vote them than him?
