Dammit, this just reminds me that I need to get my ass in gear and finish plowing through the Wheel of Time series. I love reading AMA's, particularly ones done by authors, but as I started reading that one I was coming across stuff that was way too close to spoilers. Sure, the A Memory of Light stuff is spoilered, but nothing before that, which I completely understand.
I'm looking forward to reading the Wheel of Time books that Sanderson wrote. The only book of his that I've read so far has been The Way of Kings, which I found to be mediocre at best. I think a large part of that is just personal preference; Sanderson stated in the AMA that he intentionally avoids graphic/excessively mature content because he can tackle complex themes without it. That's fine, but it's just not something that works for me.

I'm fairly sure I demanded a similar answer in the way of kings thread, why aren't there little horny devils appearing everytime what's his face is chaperoning his latest girl around.

Hey Brandon, this is an important question for me because I'm considering checking out your earlier works - do you think you got insufferably boring and wordy before or after you hooked up with Robert Jordan and his widow?
