He was in House of Chains on Drift Avalii. The dude who kicked a lot of ass and wasn't Cotillion.

Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

Without completely giving it away, some hints if you want them:

Spoiler

if thats not enough:

Spoiler

I seem to recall that they dance around his identity for awhile longer, giving you hints but still calling him traveller. But even at where you are in the series, this should be one of the easier ones to guess based on what you've read.

IM hoping its who i think it is... Iskar...

The answer to theocean's original question is: "Traveller"

When theocean brought up that (s)he is eager to learn more about Traveller, the correct answer is "You'll have to read on and find out!" or at most "You'll learn more in RotCG and TtH!"

IMO, everything else that's been posted here is unnecessary spoiler-baiting. Take it to the appropriate sub-forums before you ruin the experience for someone.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Yah. If someone doesn't ask for spoilers, don't bother even hinting at them. If someone does ask for spoilers, hold your tongue anyway. The books exist, they'll get to it eventually. Indulging that kind of inanity sucks for everyone involved.

Fine, removed then. Guess I just felt that in that instance the answer was pretty self-evident at the time (and easy to get upon a re-read if nothing else).

That's the thing, though. Not every is quite as observant as you might be. Also, re-reads are an entirely different beast. For example it's ridiculously obvious that Kellanved and Dancer are Shadowthrone and Cotillion in Gardens of the Moon (hell, someone basically comes out and says it), but I - along with many others - didn't pick up on it until Apsalar's memory in Deadhouse Gates.

You guys are taking too reasonable an approach to the issue. What I meant is that people who outright ask for spoilers should be treated like plague carriers, not like people you should be nice to, do favors for, etc. Indulging them is like deliberately contracting their virus. There's a special place in hell for people who want stories spoiled for them. And if you are tempted to help them out, you should be quarantined.

That's all talking generally, of course; theocean didn't actually commit any sins here.

What book is Traveller's actual identity revealed in?

In any case, I agree. No intentional spoilers in forums for earlier books.

Spoilers in forums dedicated to those specific books or in General Book Topics are fair game, though. If people didn't want things spoiled, it's their own damn fault.
Laseen did nothing wrong.
