Because this doesn't seem like a smart lynch, and here is why. Emur is an obvious recruit, the reaction on thread makes that obvious. As a town turned scum, he is less of a NA threat than a legit scum player. We know that Alkend and Lock are both scum, one may have been recruited (Iningo Montoya may have been town?) but one was the Necromancer! We also know that between Togg and Kanadar Fant, one is scum.

Therefore, our lynch today should be between Alkend and Lock, so that we can get the scum player whose NA is the most harmful to town. We just need to find out which one was Korlat, and failing that, 50/50 chance on a random guess. Then let our NA vigs mop up the rest of the scum we know about.

I don't know about as a original member of town being less of a NA threat. There is no guarantee of that. But I think that it should be pretty obvious that Emur is not one of Feners shields. I am a little surpised that Fener didn't kill PC last night though. Makes me very suspicious in regards to whether he actually is town. If I was scum and someone whom I thought was also scum and had told a bunch of shit to then turned around and announced it on thread I would kill them that night. Of course since he was lynched that might be the reason. I guess we will know if the reveal was just a set up to get him into the Fener alt or not. In a game like this with so many lives it seems that trusting spoken information is a pretty huge gamble. I am happy to vote for Emur to get a lynch plus he is admitted scum.

You claim to think that 3 separate people were given town Meta-roles, but with one of their game roles being a scum player from the Tyrant game. So how did Fener activate them?? They automagically switched sides as soon as he spawned? Seriously?

I find it far more plausible that Amon had to gain recruits for Fener to use as the shields.

The problem I see if the shields are recruits is that the Steve role could have been chosen as the first role instead of the Amon role. With that in mind it doesn't make much sense to assume that the recruits become shields.

There's no guarantee that Emur will make it through the night now that he's been highlighted. We may end up no closer to definitely identifying the shields with Emur gone. That said, I've made it clear that I think D'riss is a shield. The way Amp is going after Sil makes me think that either Sil is right, in that Amp is a shield, or that Amp is going after Sil because he's a self confessed leader of a scum faction. One seems as likely as the other.

In that case, it would be the player's fault for not choosing the role order intelligently.

Another thought just struck me. And yeah, it hurt a bit. And raised a bunch of dust. Do we actually know that there are any shields in play at all?

D'riss' idea that 3 other players were given the shields as one of their roles is, to me, fairly stupid. That would require 4 players to be actively cooperating for it to work at all.

As I've said, I think Amon's recruits were the players that Fener named as shields when he spawned.

What if we're both right? What if 1 player was given a shield role. And Amon had to recruit the rest? Apparently off thread comms are multiple so Amon/Fener having comms with one player who had a shield role isn't all that far fetched. It doesn't even require pre game contact. Amon/Fener just had to hope that the other person chose their roles well. If not, he's only got his own recruits to go with.

Yeah, I do though not necessarily as the leader. I think that he was telling his team's recruiter to go after Emur tonight. Which implies that he knows his team has a recruiter but has no other way to contact them.

And you might be right; emur might not survive the night. I'm willing to go with Emur but it looks like that train is losing steam. But for now I'm really liking the Silanah vote.
