Hold on guys, things look weird here.
Wasn't all population in Mu Arae destroyed and didn't twelve influence that system?
Which would mean IH had to put 5 population cubes back on his board somewhere?
Sorry, maybe I'm wrong but looking back to the battle results where it says
"all population destroyed"
and twelve's and my conversation afterward regarding whether he would influence the hex........IH's upkeep doesn't really look right.
population cubes destroyed in combat go to the graveyard, then go to the population tracks in the cleanup phase. Think of it like your scientists kept working on their projects all year while a battle was fought in space, transmitting their results via space internet to the rest of your nation right up to the moment they got bombed, so you still get production from the round. Whereas if you removed the cubes via influence, it'd be like you gave an evacuation order and the scientists were too busy packing their things and getting into an evacuation craft to keep working.
I guess Twelve's fleet sent recovery squads onto the planet after he bombed it and found the remnants of IH's banks, mines and labs so he could get the production from those planets this round, too
(Also, just note that I missed one of IH's science cubes when I should have moved it to the graveyard along with the others)

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.
