Yeah, I just checked. It's the other way round, drive is required, but not source (though you need that to have guns! ). I think that's silly.

Hey, perhaps you can upgrade all tiles to drives and hulls, then ram her at super-speed?

If you're a race that has built-in sources or you have muon source to power a drive, you could make a ship that has nothing but a single drive and missiles.

Personally I've been aware for about 3 turns, that if twelve really committed to attacking me I was dead meat...

I consider it an accomplishment that I've delayed the whole thing this long.

I was thinking she might be lining up for a push at the GC while we're distracted, but I don't see her being able to bring enough ships to bear on it.

I should have attacked you when you first purchased the point defense while you still had just the ion cannons. I didn't want to have to put cannons on the blueprint so I didn't. That was probably my biggest mistake of the game so far. Because of that I wasted a perfectly good opportunity to total rule the game. But when you got the antimatter splitter with the antimatter cannons I knew I had to counter else if I ignored you I would be seriously vunerable to you later in the game.
