Probably should do a materialcube, even though I could seriously use some better tech...
Put a materialcube on my diplo token.

EDIT - D'rek beat me to it, but I am not that devious. I just thought it had to be done as an action for some reason. My bad. I wasn't waiting for any other reason than my own forgetfulness RE the rules.

Excellent!

EM, what I am going to do is build some ships and move them into your hexes bordering CF. That way, if he attacks your hexes, he'll also break diplo and lose VPs.

I'm thinking!

Also, I have some work I need to do now, so I may be a little while before doing my action, sorry.

Heh was just about to suggest this in case your devious mind hadn't thought of it already. :p

EDIT: Also antimatter cannons??? What is twelve planning, I was certain he was going to grab quantum grid and take advantage of a ridiculous number of actions....

EDIT EDIT: Khell if you DON'T research trade fleet this turn you can't build your 4 money shrine

Tattersail, what are we going to do about Vega?

That's fine. CF all you have to do is move your ships in first then it will be Khell who will get the traitor card first.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I don't need to do them in order. I could build the large science or materials shrines instead.

It was the counter to you grabbing the Point Defense. I'm going to slap these suckers onto my Starbases so I actually have some firepower to stop your turtle dreads from shooting down all my missles before I can destroy them.

It's so that he has some backup after his glass cannons exhaust all their ammo.

Those dreads are great and all, but they can only fire once and if all the missiles get shot down then he's fucked.

@Khell,

TBH I hadn't thought of that eventuality, so you deviousness outweighs my own. My thinking was truly more in line with providing dis-incentive for us to attack each other in general since my own alliance will be busy with D'rek and IH it seems.

But maybe that just means I can focus my attention elsewhere. I truly hadn't planned on running roughshod over any more sectors. I could be extra extra devious as Twelve says, and put an interceptor in the square to the east - so that either you are forced to remove it at the cost of the traitor card, or so that EM is forced to move it at the cost of splitting his forces.

Whatevs. See what happens. I have no more aggressive plans for the time being.

If he attacks me then he gets to shoot down my missles with his cannons. I probably won't have enough missles that survive to kill off all of his ships and with my ships being so brittle they would be easy pickin's for his +4 computer assited cannons. The few ion cannons I do have probably won't be enough to finish off his ships before he finishes off mine. So if I have a couple of starbases with antimatter cannons sitting in the GC then his massive amounts of hulls will be quickly eliminated before he can finish off my ships.

It seems pretty straightforward to me.

Plus with Neutron Absorber tech added to the mix the only way to take IH's hexes is with cannons so I figured I needed an upgrade in that department anyway.

@ Twelve,

With the Eastern alliance subdued for the moment through a combination of diplomacy and wound-licking,

We should probably start thinking about that wormhole back door hey? I can start mounting a force in striking range of that portal if that appeals to your Terran sensibilities.

I'm also ready to lend some forces to GC defense if you need it. I have resources to build a cruiser and interceptor this turn (missiles, after I upgrade the BP + plasma cannon support from interceptors)

I was going to move 2 cruisers into their or 3 upgraded interceptors. I would have moved my dread out and went for the ancient but you said my dread is pinned.

Ok, I'll RESEARCH Trade Fleet.

Originally, I wasn't going to, and build a materials or science shrine instead. But then I realised I actually don't have enough science left for that, and the trade fleet uses slightly fewer materials than building a shrine right now would. In addition, I would continue to be short of money in the next round.

So that's my action. And un-asked for explanation :p

I will trade 6 materials for 2 science. Flip 3 colony ships for science and research antimatter cannon splitter on the middle track.

Actually I'm not that worried about my back door. I can always build starbases into the hex that gets invaded and/or move additional troops into to defend as I generally have more actions than most everyone else. But if you are not going to press your advantage against EM and Khell then I could use some cannon support in attacking IH.

I don't know what I was thinking when I researched the Antimatter cannons. I can throw more than enough missles at IH to take out his ships even with the point defense tech. And if you throw in one or two interceptors with your plasma cannons we can depopulate his hexes without me having to waste space on my blueprint for adding cannons. A perfect one two punch.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
