Hmm...i mainly didn't want to hold things up and sitting still is boring really. What do you think about me leaving a ship pinned and moving on toward his homeworld to hinder production?

Now that is a very good idea. Sacraficing ships to do raiding runs deeper into enemy territory. But I think EM can counter the number of ships that you put into the hex and pin them all. So I think the best that you can hope to do is take out a few of his more expensive ships and slowly win the battle of attrition. If I get no competition for the center I might be able to lend a Dreadnaught to the cause. I think EM would still win but we would do a lot more damage together.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Super devious, CF, super devious
@twelve, EM's only got the one ship in the way right now, so if CF leaves one in the border hex and moves the other to EM's homeworld it's already forcing EM to choose how to defend two hexes. Which will be very fun to watch!
And actually, in a single fight of CF's 7 interceptors vs EM's 2 cruisers and 2 dreadnaughts, I think CF would win. If EM builds more ships, might be fairly even (all the more reason to make sure you're on the attacking side and not defending, no?)

EM's Cruisers have the inititive advantage against CF's Interceptors so they get to shoot first. They all have +1 net computer bonus but EM has 14 hps to CFs 6 or 7. I would put it as an EM victory. And now it's EM's turn so he can move two more troops or build two more cruisers. So in theory he can get 5 ships in to defend against CF's raid of 6 or 7 interceptors. It would be interesting to see how things play out but I see a massive rebuilding effort on CFs side.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Tats I once got 36 points as hydrans without a single hex (admittedly I lost my last hex on the final turn, researched all the sciences and got very lucky on my reputation draws), it wasn't enough to win, but I did grab 2nd. Never give up hope in this game.

Had to reread this to understand what you are getting at. So CF moves one Interceptor into the hex with the dread and gets pinned then moves another through the hex to EM's homeworld with his second move activiation is what you are saying right?
That forces EM to decide where to defend or get his ships pinned?
Actually a very devious move indeed.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Instead of just moving both to Beta Leonis.

My big huge letters from before say different. But EM, CF and twelve are planning something nasty against you. I can't say exactly what, because I stopped being able to comprehend their garbledy-gook a while back. Must be something wrong with my universal translator.
I'm going to go to sleep now, as I was silly and worked through the night (which at least meant I was there for the final lynch at stupid o' clock!), so unless something game-changing happens, my move is to:
MOVE my cruiser and dreadnaught to the hex with the two ancients.

Ah, you've done your move as I was typing. I'll go ahead with my move.
EM, once I'm done with these ancients, I'll dispatch some dudes your way if you feel you need the help (and, uh, if I actually can).

IH you have so many options. You can attack anyone you wish. Khell is now preoccupied with the ancients. Twelve with the centre. What are you going to do?
