I just watched this week's episode (4? or 5?) last night. It was pretty good, I thought. The show still hasn't completely grabbed me yet, though, but I'll continue watching. Am I alone in really wanting to know details on how/why these alien races arrived at Earth and the war itself? Maybe some of the backstory is out there on the show's website or a fansite, but I haven't had time to search for it.

Been watching this since it started last month if only because there wasn't really anyhting else sci-fi to watch or coming out. Was ok but not great. However, the last two episodes (four and five) have really started to crank it up and the characters and plotlines are starting to get quite a bit more interesting. I guess that's to be expected with any new series. Need to give it a little time to develop and while I'm still sat on the fence about it atm at least it seems like I have a cushion.

Watched the Razor Rain ep.... Admittedly i haven't watched an ep since the premiere, but i found this pretty weak.
The Romeo Juliette interspecies culture conflict was a stock CW plot with aliens instead of hippies, suspicious granma was irritating, and despite four seasons of The L Word Mia Kirshner still can't play a convincing bisexual ho (notwithstanding that she claims to be bisexual ). As for the main plot, i had difficulty taking it seriously after zombie gorilla klingon alien guy pulled on a green fur pimp coat with his gun and knife. And in the end... Nanites. From space. Nanite space debris. Meh. Trek, Stargate and Farscape all pulled variation of that and it was about as unimpressive.
Throw in a silly poorly choreo'd fight scene (hero guy has a gun on klingorilla and moves within his reach....really) and.... meh.
Was this atypical or should i just purge it from the dvr?

I'm still enjoying this. I thought ep 6 was the best so far.

I just finished seeing eps 2-8. It's not as good as I had hoped it'd be, but it's certainly good enough for me to enjoy it. I'll be sure to watch it more frequently from now on.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Yeah, the doc is interesting. Datak and Stahma keep stealing the show, for me.

Last two episodes of the series were very good. They had a main story arc going with very little deviation. They should continue on with this. Having said that series one of BtVS was similar with lots of silly deviations (style episodes if you will instead of substance) until the main characters and relationships became more developed. Totally lol'd at Irisa jumping into the vortex thingy like Buffy at the end of series 5. Will definately watch series 2. Also Kenya better not actually be dead. :<

I really enjoyed the last couple of episodes, even if the soldiers lost the ability to shoot straight every time Nolan was standing in the open (or in a tent, for that matter)

And that . . .
And that . . .

I gave it a premiere re-watch and four more eps, but nope, i'm out.
Too predictable, too little originality, the aliens are nothing we haven't seen before/better, and I can deal with weak acting if the story is good, but they didn't draw me in.
I also cannot take Mia Kirshner seriously as anything, ever.
Also, needed more bear-spiders.

I just recently power-watched the whole season, and I quite enjoyed it! It's crazy how many people got pulled in from various shows - The L Word (Kenya), Queer as Folk (that ERep guy that was the Mayor's ex), Dexter (the Mayor and Stahma), True Blood (Nolan) to name a few! The music remixes were always well done and truly awesome! I am a bit of an Alak Tar fanboy, I must admit... And I'm very interested to see where things are going to go now that ERep has moved in, that Kenya may be dead, that Irisa is in the Earth's lifestream or whatever, etc... My absolute favourite character was the Doctor chick, she's just the right amount of badass for me!

I'm still enjoying the hell out of this show. Datak ftw
Ha! I rather enjoyed Datak's wife and son basically saying FUCK YOU DATAK, this is OUR business now!
Datak was such a shit head, and I remain, to this day, a complete Alak fanboy!
Not sure how I feel about Erisa's storyline so far this season. It's confusing, I've no idea what's going on, and I wish that they'd give me something to work with here.
The mayor lady (who took over the Need/Want for her sister) and the ERep guy - not sure how I feel about this storyline. It strikes me as out of character for her to have resorted to drug use, but I guess it'll be interesting to see where that, and the love triangle that's shaping up between her, the ERep guy and Nolan will go.
The Doctor remains my favourite character after Alak. She steals the scene for me everytime she's in it!

Is it me or does the writing feel much better this season? I liked the first season enough but it's wasn't anything to sing about but this season the plotting, the character arcs and interactions, and just general writing feels tighter. I'm so pumped up I went back to the MMO and it's better than I remember it as well. Hurray.

Someone will have to tell me. Is Kenya really dead or did she really go off somewhere? I can't remember from S1. Also I've now seen 2 people in S2 I could have sworn DIED in S1 and they re just turning up like its nothing.
From what I recall, they made every effort to convince us that Stahma killed Kenya. I've seen the preview for Ep 8 and I'm wondering what the story will be. Really don't know that it's necessary for her to re-appear. To what end? Is she going to save Amanda, this time, from the downward spiral she's on?
I thought Sukar was dead last season, but he showed up earlier in S2, but then Irissa "fed him the wires". But that obviously doesn't mean death. Who else from S1?

I have really been enjoying it yeah. It's much better. I've been bummed the past 2 weeks without the series ending music remixes. I wonder what the deal is?
I noticed they brought back the music remix in last night's episode. Not a favorite song of mine but it featured prominently throughout the show, not just at the end. An interesting episode with a couple of surprises, we thought.

And damn. Talk about a culling of characters.
