Just after handing in my notice at work.
Enjoyed it

Well done. It's a real nice feeling when you've been waiting to do it.
Mine goes in on Monday.

While I was moving to my new place a couple of weeks ago, I came across a box containing my teenage Nirvana bootleg collection. I haven't listened to Nirvana in ages and was kinda curious what I would think now of all those bad recordings, demo tapes and live recordings, so I started listening to it again today. I'm not sure what to make of it, yet.

Nirvana - Sappy said:

And if you save yourself, you will make him happy
He'll keep you in a jar and you'll think you're happy;
He'll give you breathing holes and you'll think you're happy;
He'll cover you in grass and you'll think you're happy, now.

(You're in a laundry room)

'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.'

'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all.'

Registering for collage. Trying to decide between 'XML and the extended enterprise' or 'usability engineering'. Neither seems like much craic

Major in a field that will teach you how to desalinize and purify water without the need for electricity, how to forage and hunt,.and how to protect your skin from the blazing hypersun. Other disciplines will be obsolete by the time you graduate.

I'm wondering if somebody wants to take a break and nominate a picture for the next Image of the Week poll on the Wiki. This week we have Tool, lookin' good.

If you're interested, just check the Gallery & post your choice in the Nominations thread. Oh, and stop by to vote in this week's poll-- right now we have a tie that needs breaking.

I'm staying up an xtra 1 and half so I can watch Venus rise and see it look bigger. Think how the moon does this and it's the same. Plus there is zero moon tonight and it's down in 50's so the heat haze won't be as present its going to fucking rock

Venus and Jupiter were hugely bright here a few days ago - when I got in from work (about 6am) I got my wifes phone to use her star app as I was seriously wondering if something relatively nearby had gone nova. The two also framed the crescent moon well and made keeping my eyes on the road a lot more tricky.

Two inexperienced DIYers fitting a new bathroom. What could possibly go wrong? Well apart from a poopsplosion? And I say two but I'm mostly passing criticism and then going for a lie down after moving a spanner.

working, and coffee

...and I just received a call from my wife telling me that the cat (who hasn't really been eating her food for the last 24hrs)...happily devoured the dog's breakfast instead. So there's that.

Are you wearing black eyeliner and living in your mothers basement, like a good emo?

No, just sat at work, sleep-deprived and without coffee. Once I get some caffeine I'll be oreyt. Don't have black eyeliner anyway. Might still have some black nail polish kicking around though.
