Or it could be that I was considering whether or not to move to a tile that would allow me to trade. I.e is what I have to pay to move worth any possible profit that I may make off of the mistake.

Suuure, and Ampelas doesn't have wood ;)

With the rumours of the Clan odf the Golden Standard's impending return, people everywhere started locking up their valuables, burying their treasures, and wedding off their daughters. But there was also opportunity to be found, and the Northern Desert was identified as the first place where they'd probably arrive. Daring merchants sent their caravans to the sands. While the town of Ghab was the usual destination, an accident that set the records office on fire made it a less than palatable destination.
A local monastery that once belonged to the Lady of Luck but was now inhabited by devoted worshippers of the One God, profited. It opened its courtyards to these weary travellers, and a tiny trade hub came into being, hardly taxed - hardly, that is, until I sent my tax collectors.

Market Rights have been granted to the Northern Desert.
Players here can now access the bazaar.

Seems kinda weird to get bazaar access in the desert instead of just moving to the mirror but I guess after seeing yesterday's other two upgrades there it looks like someone is trying to hole themselves up there - getting extra goods from yesterday's upgrades and bazaar access today to sell them? I'm guessing CoV since the OP scene referred to them up there and they have djinn instead of regular retainers so they wouldn't need the water from the mirror. And they got the khalif's justice too so I guess they dont want to do any actions and just stock up on resources. Either that or maybe there's someone else there trying to block them from doing actions?

I dunno but looks like that area is going to be a hotbed.

It's possible that they were expecting to be attacked and didn't want to die.

But they'd already be on the tile that protects them from people on other tiles so that would mean they knew that someone was going to attack them AND that their attacker was on the same tile? That's a lot of info to have

I thought we already knew Fener was a Bazaaro man because a bunch of stuff appeared on the bazaar right before he showed up on thread?

No, someone said that since right before I showed up there was a slave market opened in the northern desert, I must be in the northern desert.

Lets keep the random rumors about me straight shall we ;)

Whoever bought contract C9R, I've just been informed by PS that it is an illegal contract and invalid, so don't get all excited.

Price war on magic now.

I wish there was something other than the Bazaar to talk about ;)

Hey, what's the point of being a hero unless you get to show off a little? :p

So are we to infer from this that you listed the contract? You were also the first person to point out the mistake in it. Innnteresting.

Or he bought it.

As for something other to talk about, we could stop waiting for the last 10 hours or so to start discussing potential lynch candidates, you know.

Yeah maybe all the people who said yesterday they'd be back before time-out to vote on the no-posters and didn't could come onto the thread and make some new suggestions? No? Too busy with spreadsheets?

True, he may have been deliberately misleading. Lynch-worthy! But ok, lynch candidates. Fener obviously is still being discussed (normal Mafia rules still apply). I had something else to mention, give me a minute...

Wait, what is it you think I said about Fener? Time to go digging for posts...

Also, you think I listed the illegal contract - where did that come from?

Just the timing. It suddenly showed up in the bazaar just as you came online and everyone else had been online for a while.

Flaky as hell but you got anything better to work off of? B)

If it was my contract, and I was the first to point it out, don't you think I would have just changed it to include a price instead of fucking around? What good would that do me? I think you need to think it through before you type :p

And no, I did not buy it - I just had the curiosity to inquire of PS whether it was even legal to buy. I'm surprised PS didn't just remove it.

As for lynch candidates...I'm going to make a SPREADSHEET which will calculate who has the highest percentage of spam per total amount of posts. A novel take on the low-poster hunt I would say B)

Rumours that the monasteries in the Northern Desert are rife with worshippers of the Ancient Gods are common at the best of times, but thy're even worse in times of crisis. One of the holy men of the militant Crescent sect is making a killing by raiding the monasteries, branding their inhabitants as heretics and selling the monks as slaves. A remarkably unscrupulous business, and one can only hope they run into some mad wizard hermit that will burn them to a cinder, but at the same time, the scrappy lands at the edge of the Desert now have something representing irrigation.

A Slaver Camp is established in the Northern Desert.

Betcha Fener's in the Northern Desert.

Why do you think that?

Cause the slaver camp appeared just after Fener signed in for the first time. I know it could just as easily have been set up by someone else to throw the blame on Fener, or by someone having just sold something on the bazaar, so only then being able to afford it, but it just seemed like odd timing to me is all.

Hyperbolic reasoning go >>> as karosis says Fener is in the Northern Desert. From the opening scene people in the northern desert could be CoV or Qadi. Fener needs lots of slaves? Why? Because he is the Qadi with a monster human-eating djinn that he needs to feed a bunch of slaves to to summon???!!!

You are entirely wrong that I was the person to make these comments about Fener and you even responded to those comments and addressed the person by name (Karosis). So, what's with the slip? Explanation required.

Yeah, flaky as hell. :p Atrahal posted about the error within 15 minutes of my first post of the day. Margin of error says this logic is flawed. Plus then he posted about it being invalid, confirmed by P-S. If anything, it makes me think he posted it. Flaky as hell? B)

But it couldn't be Atrahal for the reasoning above. And it's not about when you post about the contract it's about when it appeared in the trading thread (and a couple other things).
