Battle - Dusk - Night resolution:

A rash merchant made a bet today: he thought he could beat me at chess. He wagered a ruby the size of his eye, the size of which could feed a village for a day. He had been bragging that he took it from a destitute woman, to whom's inheritance it had belonged, at a scandalously low price, not even a hundredth of the true worth. I upped the anté. He could nominate nine other men, and I'd play blindly, dictating the moves to one of my servants. If he won even one game, I'd install him as Vizier. If he lost, I'd collect his head. It was a tougher than I anticipated, but I don't have a new Vizier. The merchant no longer has his head. I dare say, I stretched the definition of Justice very thinly here, and I have to be aware of the risk that I may stray from my path, but the poor woman was clearly cheated, and the merchant incriminated himself.

Those who read this page, will undoubtedly ask themselves why I choose to pen this tale, instead of a detailed account of maneuvers and marching routes. Much like playing chess on ten boards, the players in this particular game - for if chess, such a good rendition of life, is a game, then so are politics and war - stumbled, probed, grabbed, tried to keep count. Distance and a lack of communication hindered them much more than the blindfold hampered my ability to visualize, but the end result was the same: nearly every single one of them was defeated by his own cleverness.

There were no battles.
Everyone still lives. Those who gained/lost something during the night phase have been informed.
It is now dawn day 2.

Please FIRST consume Water, and only THEN add your Production to your Storage

Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

Since it is 1.45 here (or thereabouts), I'll wait till the morning with resolving Dawn actions that actually require me (not that many have been sent in, a lot of players will want to wait until they've seen the night's result).

So Tellan you played things very close to the vest yesterday. You made a number of posts but didn't give out much info. Do you have any lynch targets for today?

I know as much today as I did yesterday. Which is little to nothing. I'm willing to listen to cases but I ain't got nothing to offer and I'm not going to willy nilly try to lynch a possible faction member when the Mod-Kill hammer is still ready to fall.

Tapper said he expected the game to go slowly to start with. I think we all see why.

We have an early faction alliance, so maybe that'll change things up for how some people play, perhaps we'll get more action today after having a day to build or people using night actions.

The Khalif's Justice almost feels like a waste to be enacted in the Northern Desert as it's the safest spot on the map most likely. Also not many people commented on the larger Nepath HoA alliance. After all, that is the sole (as far as we know) VC of the game. Yet no one has said anything about it. Seems kind of important to mention don't you think.

Yeah we do have two players near the modkill timer. What we have about 5 hours or so before it falls? Osseric and Korvalain right? That could really shake things up. Hopefully people will start to loosen up and actually play mafia now they have a better grasp on the behind the scenes aspect of the game.

It's a pretty sure fire way to gain +1 life points and make sure you aren't killed. Somebody paranoid might think it worth it. So... why the paranoia?

As to the alliance, it might change things on thread, but to be honest, collaboration amongst a single faction seems overtly difficult, let alone amongst two. That just went through, so it's kind of a wait and see thing for me. Can't put together pieces that don't exist yet.

Hmm. With dawn actions and 2 modkills pending I don't think there's much to say right now. Whatever those turn up, especially if Osseric or Korv is a power role, could be kind of a big deal.

That's true. Even though it's offcially dawn Day 2 everyone is treating this like night in a regular mafia game.

It pretty much is - there could still be Dawn actions out there will affect you and you cant start voting or bazaaring. I see it as an extension of night but with most of the really bad stuff less likely (but not impossible)!

That'd be quite a pain, but better than losing because my faction's power role got modkilled, I think. I have a feeling Tapper has figured out a good plan for damage control, though.
