If my translation of Eclipsish is even close to correct, I am led to understand that Tapper may soon be out of the game - which leaves him almost entirely free to enjoy modding this!

Edit: And is Tapper's downfall there related to the modding demands of this game? Perhaps he tried to pay for a dreadnought star cruiser research upgrade in dinari.

I play chess on a lot of boards, and the unrest in Madeena meant I had to take a step back elsewhere. Elsewhere, being, in this case, a conflict between two emirates. Emir Jabal the Watersnake, relying on a recent improvement in his military capablities, had long been eyeing the lands of his neighbour, the Hegemony of Tubruk. With Madeena in an uproar, the Watersnake struck, conquering the Hegemony's capital and shattering its armies. The emir, or Hegemon, as he prefers, promptly fled to Madeena and sought asylum. This led to riots in the streets, stoked up by Jabal's agents. I had to extend martial law in and around the palace district.

The Khalif's Palace is now under the Khalif's Justice.
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

Does anyone else whenever there is a bit of a lull in the game thread instinctively run over to the trading thread to see if/what new changes have occured imagining that people not posting faster here means they are doing something there? Silly but I do it by reflex like half the time I think.

People really don't want to die. Two places which are sacrosanct are also now under the Khalif's Justice. How amusing.

I flip between the two like a million times a day - even if I have no actual personal interest in the Bazaar at that time.

Well it does heal you after all. And if you spent all your money on buying worship and politics to get those tile upgrades do you really have anything left to use for doing actions even if you weren't guarded?

In the long-term it is self-defeating, yes, even if it could be maintained. In the sense that you are only helping yourself, and not the rest of your faction or wider alliance. I suppose staying alive is one way to 'help', but what if the rest of your faction is relying on you to be the one to do the nasty business of getting rid of others, and you're just sitting in your hole?

Are we going to lynch or not?
I don't think there is much time remaining in the day.
