With the Northern Deserts becoming unsafe, a call had to be made. I offered asylum to everyone on Madeena's outskirts, knowing fully well the Nepeth would be too proud to accept this offer. The peasantry around the Mirror however gratefully accepted my guardianship, thereby reaffirming my control and rejecting that of the Nepeth regiments. I am sure the representatives of Pharaoh greeted my decree with clenched teeth, but to a great many peasants, it was almost a divine intervention.

A Hadj is declared on the Mirror, leading to the Khalif's Palace (starts during the day phase). The route,

The Mirror (day 6),
The Road to Ishktar (battle phase) - pay 500 to the Bey.
The Square of Camels (dusk phase)
The Khalif's Palace (night phase).
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

Oooh fun. Maybe people being moved to the Khalif's Palace will actually result in some other alliance proposals even!

Why are you building a lover relationship with someone?

Nein!

Actually if you must know I was spamming him with comments about how I'm indecisive about whether I should pursue generic item building X or faction-specific retainer building Z.

So that is why he only replies to half of what I ask him. Cause you're flooding him with petty requests. :D

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

If I am who you think I am ( I am not) and I am where you think I am (I also am not) then yes I would find it interesting that everyone from the mirror is going on a little trip. The fact that you don't leads me to believe that you are the one whom started the Hadj. Which I also find interesting.

that hadj is very interesting, especially as id imagine there cant be that many in the mirror since not long ago everyone was moved out of it. Hopefully it means we'll get more alliances soon :sofa:

Oh. You are right. I saw "hadj" in red and just skipped past where it started from. Hmm. That is rather interesting.

Huh. A hadj from the Mirror, because of the unsafeness of the ND? Strange.

Glad we got a CF finally.

I'll be around a little later, just got back from work and have to eat.

I'll be around for 30-40 minutes more. It's been a crazy, crazy day so far and I fear this may have affected a resolution or two :sofa: Hopefully, tomorrow at work I can get all the stuff from today to SH.
I'd kindly ask everyone to keep their locations in their Action PMs - I know who is on the Road or in what triangle (Madeena, surroundings or southern sands), thus allowing me clear resolutions, but for some, the tile is not 100% clear without constant backtracking. With the Hadj going on, this becomes problematic.

Likewise, if you use item/retainer actions, please list them with text. Right now, to get a decent resolution off I have to open the action PM, check the Role PM and the Item and Retainer PM and the storage PM, and then that of the target.

That's getting old really fast, not to mention that having 5 PMs open and having to search through 3 pages in my inbox for each is making phase resolution at the same time a tough chore.
It also does not help me at all to keep track of the game.

Someone is looking to make their mark on the game :sofa:

The Bey will know how many are on this Hadj, as he can work it out from the amount of money he gets.

Once more, the balance in the Northern Desert shifted. The first Tumen of the Golden Standard arrived - nine thousand foreigners, tall and blond, burdened under extremely heavy armor, led by only a handful of the horse riders of the Clan. The waiting armies of the tribes descended upon them - and found that they faced a fight they hadn't prepared for. Expecting a battle of horseman versus horseman, of archer versus archer, a hundred thousand individual contests of aim and speed, instead they crashed upon an iron rock on which their arrows made very little impression. The one charge they tried was met by a wall of armor and pikes. Like the Khanate conquerors, the tribes eventually found the weakness: the supply trains. After three weeks of fighting, the Golden Standard army was reduced to a few hundred walking wounded, thirsty, tired men and women, nervous wrecks one and all. Their attackers were in little better shape: largely out of arrows, forced to dog the heels of the invaders and fighting with little honor, like jackals on the heels of a wounded lion, waiting for it to expire.

This time, the exodus from the Northern Desert consisted of men at arms, all looking to plead and beg with me for support, or to supervise an armastice, or looking to coin their newfound prestige. I ordered my executioner to sharpen his sword. He'd need it.

A Hadj has been declared, leading from the Northern Sands to the Khalif's Palace (day 6).
The route:

The Northern Deserts (day 6)
The Mirror (battle phase 6)
The Road to Ishktar Oasis (dusk phase 6)
The Square of the Camel (night phase 6)
The Palace of the Khalif (dawn phase 7)
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

Well he is free to completely ignore my asinine comments in favour of resolving more stuff.

P-S if you're still here if resolution is going to take a loooooon time (understandable) would you at least be able to tell us where the resolution is done up to? We're in day 6 now but I doubt all actions up to the end of dawn 6 are resolved. Is everything up to say Dusk 6 done? Knowing this might at least help us act better upon what resolution there is and isn't during day 6.

Wouldn't it be funny if Path-Shaper brings out 5 or 6 more Hadjs - some from around Ishktar and some from Madeena - basically making everyone run across the map? The Khan Bey guy who owns the middle would sure love it :sofa:

Yeah, except that might be called fishing.

Let's say 10% can, theoretically, still perform dawn 6 actions. 70-85% of day that needs resolution has been submitted (if you target yourself/ your own stuff, resolution is instant, remember?).
20% of dusk is submitted, 5% of battle, 10% of night. Or so.
Haven't seen a great many dusk & further actions so far.
