Rereading novels again and got the bug to work on the characters.

How Karsa looks always itches at me to try and get down what's in my head, so here I go again...

Please post up any detail or stuff I might have forgot about him.

His legs seem a bit short, but other than that, spot on.

add longer legs and it could go into the encyclopedia

Nice! and i particularly like the detail on the sword and the 'dark' element to the hound heads.

Thanks for the comments, it's still a wip.

I've tweaked the legs and will be adding to the detail of the rest, just wanted to get his size and attitude right(ish).

I love that you incorporated the soletaken polar bear pelt! The claws could be a little clearer in terms of emerging from the fur as opposed to sitting 'on' it. And the lower set are kind of lost on the vest.
His face is nicely done - in the books he's fairly young as Teblor go and this shows without detracting from the badass.

I really like how you have captured his mood, attitude and the accessories. I think of all the Karsa's I have seen, this one is one of my favourites. (and he is one of my favourite characters so I am extra tough on judging pics). The only thing is I think (but maybe I am off) the proportions aren't quite right, in particular his hands are the same size as his head.

.... and then the other issue I have- but that's with all Karsa pictures and just my personal opinion and doesn't mean that I don't like your whip- I know everybody loves to show Karsa as a mountain of flesh and muscle and meat, but I think that's not realistic considering the kind of warrior he is. Let's assume for a moment that gravity, anatomy, physics and physiology work the same principles on Wu as they do here, this man could not walk a single step, not even thinking about battling a Deragoth or K'Chain. In my mind, he is more like a lean muscle type who has speed, agility, endurance coupled with strength.

But as I said- great work!

Edit: I forgot to mention that I really like his face. Extremely well captured and brought to live and paper.

he is said to be almost 8ft tall and muscled enough to seem wide, I think this is a quite accurate depiction to be honest.


Also, doesn´t he have ears sewn onto his belt? They´re described as looking like dried mushroom caps, I believe...


And I don´t think anyone will ever agree on his hair:P

Miss Savage - I find it hard to balance what I know of him. I've tried slimmer well built versions in the past, but knowing what he's physically capable of just makes me think hugely intimidating. :) He's one of my favourite characters too. I think square when I think of Mappo, lol.

Looks great. Like his face and attitude. Maybe taller though. It's just with the sword as long as it is (and it needs to be long)he needs to be a foot taller than the sord. But otherwise great job!

They´re the best part! They really tie the outfit together :D
