So this just happened. I was sitting on twitter and the official Star Wars Twitter account quietly, nonchalantly announced the title to Episode VII!

I've said it elsewhere...it could be WAY worse...like THE PHANTOM MENACE or ATTACK OF THE CLONES...compared to those, this is genius.

i was ok with TPM, but 'Attack of the Clones' was just entirely too close to 'Attack of the Killer Tomatoes' for me to ever take seriously.

The title seems in line with the rumours about the plot concerning Luke being in self-imposed exile. Thinking about it, since ROTJ there were only two major force sensitives left in the galaxy (Luke and Leia), so it's not like the force has been rampant since then...and if Luke put himself into exile fearing his powers, or honing them perhaps...this would make extra sense if a now a Sith being comes forward with serious force powers and Luke comes out of exile to realize he's needed to create and lead a new jedi order to combat it?

As usual it should be pulpy...which it is...and should denote something about the story...which we will have to wait to see.

Agreed and as much fondness as I have for portions of the EU...it was a huge mess of retcons, tangled plots, characters who's motivations swung around willy nilly depending on the author. By the end of it Del Ray were spinning their wheels with plotlines.

A fresh start seemed the most apt way to go.

And Jaina is already renamed, apparently Daisy Ridley's character is named Kira and she's Han and Leia's kid...and she lives on her own in the burnt out shell of a collapsed AT-AT. And she and John Boyega (who apparently plays a lapsed Stormtrooper) go searching for her dad and a one-armed Chewie at the Cantina at the beginning of the film. Take that last sentence with a bucket of salt. I don't know how Han and Chewie will be re-introed.
