Merry Midwinter Meet-Up 2012 You know you want to....

A bold decision has been taken to have the Christmas meet-up in Lunnon Towne instead of Manchester this year.
The proposed date is Saturday 1st December - the meet-up venue yet to be decided but the Pub-Meister is on the case and we will be guided by his vast knowledge of the cities drinking establishments.
No particular plan at the moment except to have a few drinks, some food, a few more drinks and maybe a few more after that.
Anyone interested in joining in - please post your thoughts and express your interest below.
Cheers

YESSSSSSSS!
I only frequent a few places regularly, but I know they have good food, good coffee, good beers and I am happy to help planning the meet-up etc.
Thanks Hetan!

What possible reason could you have for missing this time? I think you just lie about not being able to make it and don't really like us. And I thought you lived my lobes

I don't believe I have plans for that Saturday. Perhaps I'll show my face for once.
The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

Do you accept random Yanks? If so, I'd love to go....provided the pub is within walking distance of the Piccadilly line as the other lines frighten me.
Ocean, ocean.....I'll beat you in the end

here are my few suggestions- been there or heard from reliable sources they're good.
Next to Euston Square Station and Euston Station, not too far from Kings Cross St Pancras - so great location and great pub:
The Bree Louise
http://www.thebreelouise.com/ i haven't eaten there but we go there every now and then for drinks after work and it's the best one I know near train/tube stations.
The following are also great pubs but they are not conveniently located so considering the logistics of meeting up maybe not ideal- but here goes anyways:
the albion,a gorgeous pub near Angel/Upper Street/Islington. May even be walking distance from Caledonian Road/Barnsbury Piccadilly line stop. I have eaten there for a birthday party and the food was delicious. Over all probably the best pub I have seen in town (of the few I know).
http://www.the-albion.co.uk/
another lovely pub is The Narrow Boat in Islington by Regents Canal. Food is great and getting there is not too difficult but it involves walking again from Angel or lots of buses stop at Islington Green- alternatively it's a lovely walk along the canal!

to raise the flag for my turf and even more off the beaten track and if we feel adventurous there are two nice pubs by victoria park. getting there is not too bad: Bus 277 from either Highbury and Islington, Victoria line, or Bus 277 from Mile End, Central line or walking from overground stop homerton.
the britannia:

or the http://www.royalinnonthepark.com/
the britannia is somewhat more charming and whilst I haven't eaten there I often sit in the garden with a pint in summer and the BBQ they have looks amazing.

how about we all go by Mezla PigDog's place and get some of those smoked scallops, crab lemon thyme risotto and delicious chocoloate bourbon ice-cream?
but are they worth preserving?

What time is everyone planning to arrive? The usual 12ish start? Just so I know when to book my trains for.

He steals midgets? What does he do with them - is there a midget black market that I've been missing out on?!
Slight chance of me making it along, not sure yet.

Can someone who's taken the bus from Stansted Airport to Cambridge before tell me if one can buy the bus tickets at the airport or not? Internet is not being very helpful *sigh*
I'm going to annoy Hetan and Mal for a couple of days in case you're wondering why I ask about the Cambridge bus.
