I think the reason I got bored with DA origins was that I found I was doing pretty much the same moveset every time, and winning, which made all the micromanagement pointless. It got tedious.

I've been using the bow where the situation needs it; I hate not having a ranged option and it has some good advantages early on. I hope the kids go to bed early tonight so I can play!
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Interestingly, there is a melee mage class that gets buffs and moves which are for CQB.

You can also get that class if you start as a warrior.

Essentially as a wizard, if you go that route, you can have perma-barriers.

What else do you need it for? Do you have lots of different games on the go at the same time? Just curious.

Warriors don't get access to Knight Enchanter... The warrior equivalent I think would be Champion. Templar is split between defensive and offensive so I don't think it'd be that.

Well I'm honestly nervous about running out that space with those new games at 45 gb that 500 gb won't last long. Plus 100gb is unusable so really I have 400gb. My 160 GB PS3 still has 7/8 free space and I have a lot of games. My 360 20gb has 13 GB free and I have a lot of games.

My pS4 has 2 games with 70 GB taken. 2 games. Insane.

Uninstall/reinstall. It won't delete your saves or anything.

Besides, you should be able to upgrade your capacity.

Running out won't really be a problem. There's no point in having a new console if you're not going to use it. XD

Meh, my warrior game is fucked, no specialization trainers after doing the quest for it. I'd been reading online and somewhere said Knight Chanter was both mage and warrior, my bad.

It keeps a separate amount of storage for your saves, which will only be a few MB in size each.

Plus some of them will store things online as well/instead. *shrug*

This is what I was hinting at. I've always done this with ps3. The saves, trophys etc are a completely different file, so unless you like playing dozens of games on the same day it shouldn't be a problem.

As I tend to stick to one or two games until I'm done with them, space isn't an issue. I'd certainly want to be playing the ps4 versions over the 3 now I've seen what it looks like.

It'd kind of make sense, like when Arcane Warrior could equip heavy armour and play like a pally, but alas. Warrior as all about dat melee.

Yea, I wasn't really surprised about it, just kind of like 'so theres only 8 specializations? cutting corners again?'. If would make sense since Knight Enchanter is all about melee/barriers.

In honesty, my Knight-Enchanter is always at range. The barriers and melee are a last resort - although it is very handy against dragons, who utterly muller ranged DPS.

I built Viviene has a barrier/spirit mage, my party constantly has full barriers (and my warriors generally have full block/armor) and it is pretty obscene. I took barrier but only so that I could drop one on myself if/when needed on my mage.

The only dragon I even had trouble with was the last one (level 24 I think?) and the only problems I had was having to micromanage potion use for my rogue.

Oh, the Fire Dragon at the bottom of the fort in Emprise? She's a dildo. Adds, rapid AOE on the entire party...

Im tempted to start a new game with a melee rogue, i've heard that melee rogue with the potions is the hardest option so ill try that. I found that as an elven archer, the early game was the only difficult part. In late game, i managed to find a bow that fires 2 additional shots at a 45 degree angle. While in most fights it was useless, in dragon fights, being they have severla hitboxes i found it doubled or even tripled my DPS. Add hail of arrows to that.... To easy by far.

On my next playthrough ill know dragon don't level with me so ill do the fights at a closer level so it's more of a challenge

I don't know if a tempest melee build would be harder or easier than an assassin melee. Artificer would be the hardest rogue spec to utilise as it's very much like a petless hunter from Warcraft (kiting and traps).

Melee rogue is hard just for that you're the squishiest class, have no defenses, low armour and die easily. But it's so rewarding when played right.

I'm still not sure which way to go with my character.

I just found the amulet which let's you respec points, so I'm messing around a little.

My problem is that I like the idea of a melee rogue, but the gameplay isn't as rewarding as say a fp stealth game assassin - running around in broad daylight isn't quite the same. Yet, anyway. I like the look of the throwing knives but that's on a different tree entirely.

I like to be able to stick an arrow through things from a distance, but when demons spring up out of the ground next to me I'm stuck with a bow for close work which isn't working.. again, yet - it's early days.

I started as melee rogue but does that make much difference if I choose the bow route instead?

You'd need to respec for bow ideally as the melee talents are useless for bow rogues (unless they're ones that directly increase all critical damage). Throwing Knives I seem to recall was the final talent of the Sabotage tree? There's also Hidden Blades which is an excellent talent, however there is a Masterwork metal (could be a cloth) that has a chance to throw out that move when you hit an enemy. For an archer that could generate some proper spike DPS.

From experience: a melee rogue is the hardest character type to play, but also the most rewarding. It also has the highest single-target DPS in the game.

Which are the inquisition perks that influence crafting?

I figured that the ones that give a big bonus to xp on every codex found would be better early on; but what others are worth aiming for from the start?

I don't think there's one that directly impacts craft quality, but Optimal Cutting and the forces equivalent for metals if there is one are mint. Optimal cutting can get you up to 9 extra harvests on a herb.
