And that wasn't the season finale. Friday night should be interesting.

I'm still going to hold with my prediction that a non-recurring character dies.

Oh, sweet! I had just assumed that was the finale, as we all know that the writers love to end on cliffhangers like that.

Everybody better get the hell out of Nick's way...

I hope the episode is literally like 38 minutes of him and Trouble working their way (violently) through the royals...

ps I hope Juliette gets it instead of redeeming her :headbang:

I wouldn't mind either of those.

Well, there's really no going back after that reveal is there.

Still can't quite see them killing off Juliette yet though, so I'm gonna suggest that she will kill a bunch of the royals' henchmen, steal the baby and go on the run. Not my favourite option, but it would reset the board again, and remove her for a while (plus her powers might counter those of the child).

It would be a real emotional conundrum if Trubel was to kill Juliette though.

But if a recurring character is likely to croak it, I'm gonna say Rosalee.

It did set up a potentially epic finale (which is good, cos it was getting a bit tedious)

Okay, I've got S05E01 queued up. Time to do this stream of consciousness style. [spoilers spoilers]

I've definitely forgotten some of what happened last season because I have no idea who these masked kidnappers are, but I'm sure they'll let us know. I'm excited for the first few episodes of this season to be berserker Nick on a rampage. It's sort of annoying how much recapping and Q&Aing they do in the first 10 minutes of the episode. Sean putting Nick on leave is pretty stupid, because all that does is give Nick free time to chase Chavez. Cool to see Meisner again. It'd be nice if Bud and Adalind fell in love :bs: . Them letting Chavez talk on her phone was pretty silly, but I guess they had no choice. Too bad about Chavez. The last shot of the claw tearing a hole in Portland was pretty funny.

S05E02 [spoilers spoilers]

Looks like we're back to the monster-of-the-week format, at least for this episode. There probably won't be much to say about it, but maybe I'll be surprised. Or maybe we are going to get more of the kidnapped Trubel storyline after all. Stupid decision not to bring the captain in on this; I bet he has the lowdown on it and leaving him out will just hurt their investigation. Oh, let's partner Hank up with some rando, that'll go nicely. Aaand I guess this plot is related to the kidnapping one anyway. Why would all 3 of them run after this one guy, when that lady could totally be his partner-in-crime? And she is. So, wesen civil rights movement?

And who the fuck is in that cell? It's gotta be Trubel, right? Or Juliette?

Hoping it's Trouble, but it's most likely Juliette. God I hope she stay's dead and it's not her...

Kelly maybe? Probably Juliette though.

non sequitur of the week: How do you sell a house in one week that has been the scene of the murder of a FBI agent, the attempted murder of a police captain, and across the street from not one but two houses where multiple homicides occurred two weeks ago?

Well, looks like it was
Spoiler
in the cell. But that's all we get on that in this episode...

I'm surprised to say that I really enjoyed this episode. The kids-looking-for-a-mother plotline was a bit mundane for this show, but there were some really nice character moments throughout. Adalind and Rosalee showed they can really handle themselves, and the whole episode was pretty clearly aimed at bringing them to the fore.

Light on action and heavy on character for Grimm, but it worked.

EDIT: Just realized I'm an episode behind. The above is about S05E03.

Just got caught up with Grimm. It's getting weird and not in a great way. Hopefully they pull it back together after the hiatus.

I finally caught up as well. I don't think that head in a box was real.
