Ha ha true. Especially with Dresden! I find myself slowly reading number one, wizzing through number two and straight onto number three without a moment to reflect on number two. The drug has set in and I am going to hate my come down. Except, I have not read Side Jobs yet, i'm buying it after this re read.

The anthology it's in just isn't worth the money, but try and get your hands on EVEN HAND.
It's a Marcone pov short and it is very, VERY good.

I ABSOLUTELY recommend SIDE JOBS.

EVEN HAND, however, is not in that book. It's in some urban fantasy collection, 'DARK AND STORMY KNIGHTS' iirc, with a pile of crap stories by mediocre authors piggybacking on Butcher's name as seems to frequently be the case.

EH was originally listed to be included in SJ but they left it out bcs SJ was published so close to the anthology that it would have destroyed anthology sales.

Butcher has said that as he releases enough short stories and novellas, they will continue to collect them like SIDE JOBS. I'm just impatient

There's also Curses and AAAA Wizardry that weren't in Side Jobs. Try to find their anthologies at a book store and read just the Dresden parts

They're both from Harry's PoV and light-hearted compared to Even Hand, but still good Dresden-y goodness.
