Personally, I think that the coasting issue is not a player one (if something works, it works), so much as that we still balance games using pretty much the same numbers I can always remember. Complaints about people coasting and not contributing are common enough. Perhaps if we started balancing the game a little more towards town, it would make the low poster zone less safe, and maybe force scum to have to direct the thread and convince people they are inno more, as well as encouraging low posting innos not to low post (though really this should be an issue anyhow. Not contributing as town is very harmful, as well as very common. If people didn't do it as town, people couldn't do it as scum, but I think giving the town a little more time would make targeting low posters more viable and encourage it to stop).
