There is a restriction in place that limits content searches to 365 days before the present date. This is in place because, as you might imagine, searches use resources (notably bandwidth and data); some sites use a flood-control restriction (only X number of searches within Y seconds), while we have opted to restrict the amount of content that can be returned (there is both a time-based cut-off and a quantity of responses limit to this end).
If you were to give me a solid period in which you were going to do your searching, then I could see about changing the restrictions for a few days or a week, but I'm not going to indefinitely lift them because it would potentially put more strain on the server. So if you let me know when you'll need the ability to search, we can probably arrange something - not soon, though, I'm going to the NZ Meetup tomorrow and likely won't be online much until next Wednesday my time - if that's what you need.
