I'm here, looks like its time to get to work uncovering some truth, as if that were possible in this game

D'rek evidently brought out the secondary alts for this game. I hate most of you on sight.

Frankly, I expect some deaths will occur and thus that basic, but accurate, chart will quickly break down.

I like big words.
Anyhow, from the wording that the main recruiter ability is given by the cult based Apostléy thingummy (which can jump, as per the OP) this isn't simply a game of whack the recruiter. Of course, getting him is still the most important thing, but it is unlikely to leave us with only 1-2 harmless recruits to mop up.
With that in mind, a few vigs seem needed to get back tempo and get rid of all Bahama-mutants, at the least in the WCS of a recruit a night.
Gambling that recruitment pace is perhaps lower than lynching pace, thus buying town the time to mop up a cult, is wishful thinking.
But many kills? No. And anyhow, a vig isn't something to be used willy-nilly.

I agree, for balance vigs seem necessary and should be used wisely. Are you thinking that there won't be a town killer?

I would like clarification on the one vote per day thing. That would be an odd mechanic as someone has suggested that we can only do it once.

Imho, a town killer would be contraproductive, if anything. We don't know if players lose powers when recruited. A recruited killer would be game breaking. More likely to have 2-3 people with a vig each.

Unless D'rek wants the thread to build a consensus before we vote. Sounds like a bit of a hassle in a day shorter than 40 hours, but an intriguing concept nonetheless. However, I originally read the OP as 'each player can vote and all votes count for the same weight'.

Maybe to really consider each of our vote before placing it. No joke votes and cases built on potential signalling.

Might be, but then, voting is an integral part of adding pressure and putting your money where your mouth is.

Anyhow, until we get mod-confirmation on how it is intended to be read, I doubt we'll see a great many votes

Well that's it isn't it. You don't want to waste your only vote if that is how it is to play out.

I see a lot of people who know more then me (I refuse to read the OP). Thus in the grand tradition of high tmdi games. YOU are all obviously scum and you have played it so smart to all be on at the same time post. Well I am on to you.

Tapper ought to be shot for making that post.

It was quite on target for how a lot of high TMDI games have gone. Fortunately for you lot I have actually read the OP and am not going to ask stupid questions. Well not about the OP anyway.

Good morning people!
So we thinking there is going to be an independent role or two in there? D'rek had said that he expects the game to last 2-3 weeks. The Batman game barely lasted a week and a half, and there were much more players there, so there's gotta be some interesting mechanics that no one knows about that will allow town to survive a bit longer?

She.
Big words, small words. Words are good, gotta disagree with Karsa. MORE WORDS.
And yeah, the 14 vs 16 players thing is interesting.
I, for one, am not really going to speculate on D-day formulas because I think tryhing to predict a high TMDI game like this won't be productive until we have more info/days played out on thread. Too many black swans* may appear.
*if you don't know this term, look it up. And read the book, it's interesting.
