It's the sort of thing productions attempt to do to lead people astray from what is being shot, though my guess would be that it's probably a combo logo of the "I" the "M" and the "III"...at least that's my assumption with the blurry photo.

Clapper board's are a big deal (as they are used not only in editing, but it essentially labels the film as what it is) so if it doesn't clearly say the title on it, then it's either a fancy logo or they are attempting to hide what's being shot from overzealous paparazzi by making it cryptic. It still has to imply Iron Man 3 though in some way...which is why I found it interesting.

but...as i said its an "official" ironman 3 pic (the 1st one)...like officially been released by the studio.
So we know its for IM3 ...

Wut? I think you might be confussed by what I was saying...

I'm not claiming it's not IRON MAN 3...I just found it telling that the clapper board had a logo like that is all. It speaks of either interesting marketing choices for the logo, or shows they are trying to disguise production for when they do exteriors and there are people about.

That's it. Just an observation.

I hear you QT, I am currently observing that my tea mug has no tea in it and I might go fix that. It doesn't even have any sort of logo on the side which has really thrown me off my stride. It took me a while to figure out what the damn thing was used for again. I may not make it till III comes out at this rate.

turns out that those candid pics are not of Iron Patriot's at all...and that guy is not James Badge Dale donning the armor but rather a stunt man.
Supposedly its actually War machine... the US government gave a new paint job to him, claiming it one of their own... O_o

Trailer is up.

Looks more interesting than Ironman 2. Doesn't explain a lot about the story though except implying that things are not going well for Tony Stark.

I am assuming the voice we hear is the Mandarin talking? Looks like they are staying away from the Magical angle?

Who is the guy in the Iron Patriot suit? Not Dusty Rhodes I assume? Is Guy Pierce doing the Iron patriot?

EDIT: Also, somebody noticed this when we see the Mandarin from behind:

Why does the Mandarin have a Captain America shield on the back of his neck? Is just an easter egg? Is it related to the universe? Is it implying a connection between the Mandarin and the Iron Patriot?
