So here are some texts from Rashan. I have deleted all his quoted material so It's easier to see what he said. You'll notice the progression from one suspect to another (mostly out of confusion is my guess and an unclear direction of how to go about investigating people). Even with the confusion, I still think town's best hope is in lynching Amp or Korbas atm. I will try to take a closer look at the other cases, such as on Telas and Galain, when I get home, but I at least want to close the book in my opinion of Rashan.

The theory here is that just about EVERYONE wanted to get rid of Shelly. I myself and anyone else that subscribes to this theory is doing so based on the fact that by saying you didn't see anything suspicious you can then turn around and say that you were right and the rest of us were wrong. We are working under the assumption that a killer MAY have beeen one of the people that said to ignore him. Korbas fit into this as well.
You're right, Khell DID mention several people but YOU were the one he had a vote on. I suspect that the roleplaying would tone down by day 2. He was already starting to be more helpful by the end of the day. The killers most likely took him out to eliminate what they considered to be the largest threat. If he could run the thread AND give a logical case on day 2 they would be fucked.
Why not be potentially scoping out or setting yourself up for potential targets all along? By end of day you would want to have options. I fail to see how these two statements contradict eachother. Early in the day I'm sure you would have a provisional list and then rearrange and confirm by night.
Looks like YOU are casting aspersions. I'm just saying that the middle of the road poster theory sucks. Either someone is going to be a high, middle or low poster. Period. It usually depends on the time on their hands. We DO most often find scum in the low poster category ONLY BECAUSE they often are afraid to say something that could be built into a case later.
Where have I NOT answered D'riss? The questions and accusations against me have been based on:
1) My vote on Shelly
2) My switch to the Tulas train.
I have REPEATEDLY said that MY vote was based on the theory that a killer might try to hide as an annoying high poster for a change. I have also said that I thought Tulas's drive by agreement with Shelly looked suspicious like EVERYONE ELSE DID and changed when after a few beers I logged in, didn't see a time but saw lots of votes going and thought fuck Shelly isn't happening better get a Tulas lynch. As it turns out BOTH were wrong. I'm NOT THE ONLY ONE GUILTY OF MAKING THIS MISTAKE.
Actuallly I started to suspect Telas because he threw down the vote on me when more eyes started looking at you. I think he got scared.
I believe this whole case is a flailing attempt to not lose a killer. I'm certain that we are looking at Ampelas and Telas. A lot of the same logic could be applied to a Korbas and Telas pair though as well, but I'm feeling Ampelas more. At this point in the game the killers cannot afford to lose eachother.
Starting off certain that Amp and Telas are the two baddies.
Karosis case minus the quotes:

I'm really disappointed with the lack of posting from folks. This game has been very quiet. Right now I can see this playing out that I'll get lynched because no one is playing the game. Which is kind of sad since I'm town y'all!!
So since I'm bored and amusing myself I decided I would look around at the rest of you further. I've been wondering about Karosis. Can't say that I have a read on him one way or the other TBH but doing some legwork for you.
He joined the game late....
Then proceeded to get caught into the whirlwind that was Kheltatha. Damn... I miss you Khell.. this game was more fun when you were still alive... *snif*
Was Khell REALLY the most lynchable player at the end of the day on Day 1? He was actually getting applauded by dropping the act at the end there.
And this is the last we hear from Karosis. Come join us back for lynch time ya hear! I'm getting a lazy townie vibe, but I guess he could be a low lying killer that's trying not to make waves.
Big case on Karosis. No takers except the killers who agree with you and help out town with a NK of Karosis. Slick.

Well considering the fact that I AM town it makes YOU seem quite a bit more scummy to ME.
My top choices for a lynch are Amp and Korbas, but I prefer Amp. I'm finding the lack of participation rather annoying. It makes me think that whatever happens will be decided in a rush, which is bad playing IMO.
Now top two are Amp and Korbas. Same as me! Wait, but no you think I'm scum

I need to reread some folks.
I'm really wondering why Karosis? Kind of an odd choice don't you all think?
Interesting to bring this up since you made a big case on him. Set up you think?

Ok, so here are my thoughts on Rashan, since I see people are not going to think about anyone else until this is resolved:
On day one, Rashan appeared to vacillate between our two primary suspects, Shelly and TS. He blatantly says he wants to get a train up and running, and then plays a "i'll go with the flow" card for the remainder of the day. All in all, a fairly bland playstyle imao. Nothing really jumps out at me as particularly scummy.
Day two, he starts getting defensive and erratic. Not right away though. He throws in one more defense of his behavior on Day 1 and then digs into Fener, picking up on Fener's nonchalance and lack of surprise at Day 1's outcome (always a favorite handle for accusing someone of being scum). He then lets go and moves to Amp after deciding Fener wasn't overall very scummy.
However, this is probably where people start having their scumdars pinged, he doesn't stick with his case and never puts down a vote. He spends much of the rest of his posts defending himself against jibes and occasionally lashing out at people such as myself. Towards the end, he's begging people to post, being chummy with me as one of the few people posting, and all in all seems to be going crazy with anxiety.
After the Day 2 no-lynch, he continues his rapid posting, however now with more content (as the pressure comes off with an new day). I'm not sure how he sees me as manipulating him into looking at Korbas and Amp, but whatever.
All in all, while I think he is playing erratically and making a lot of mistakes, the fact that both Shelly and TS died on Day 1, and that those are the only two people he examined doesn't seem to line up with him being scum (unless he is reeeeeeeeeeeally stupid, which with Malazan players I find hard to believe).
It's easy to make a case on erratic players, and as someone said, people these days rarely make a mistake in slipping up and saying they're scum. I've seen it happen only once in my time here. That all being said, I am not convinced Rashan is vote worth yet and while it may seem like I'm defending him, I'm more focused on the fact that we are quickly running out of days till D-day and every lynch is very important (>_< = yesterday).
I would like to seem some higher level analysis than I've been seeing, especially in terms of trying to get inside the killers' heads. And I still think Korbas and Amp are the best two candidates for that.
You sound very smartly with your long post sumarizing daily activities. I think it is a nice touch where the only way I can have any intelligence is if I am scum, then patting the other Malaz Mafia players on the back for being so good. An ego stroke never hurts. Would you like me to do a summary of everyone else that has changed their minds or votes throughout this game? I seem to recall a couple vote changes from D'riss as well as Korbas off the top of my head. If this were a courtroom I would object to you leading the witness(s)(ssess)(esssesssesss).
That said, I do actually think you are good enough at this that you could remain off our collective scumdars.
"sound very smartly..." sorry just had to point this out when you are talking about intelligence...
Ok, Rashan, I'm not sure what you want. Do you want me to call you scum and lynch you (is this some modified way of self-voting?)? Look, the paradigm I'm working with, based on personal experience in previous games of being scum, is that scum are not associated with their night kills, esp when the person NK'ed is already a major lynch candidate (namely Day 1's Shelly). Day 2, you made a massive case on Karosis and then Karosis died that night. Do I think that would be a scum play? No. So that is why I haven't voted for you. You don't fit and if anything, you seem like a patsy to me and are too stupid to realize it. So no, you aren't scum. They are having fun with you, and you are playing into their hands. Good job.
