So,
I haven't been around the board in a while since I finished Dust. I haven't made myself read Stoneweilder yet and just saw that ICE released / is about to release this book. So I pretty much need to know some things.
A) Should I care to read it?
Was Stoneweilder actually good?
C) Was it actually any good or did ICE just fuck more shit up?
Thanks Guys,
Volkh

a) I honestly don't know. While I enjoyed large portions of the book, there were some major problems with the plot lines. I would suggest waiting to read ICE's books until he has published his final two, then get another, non-spoilery opinion on how he wraps everything up. There's a lot of stuff that doesn't really make sense/is just left hanging entirely, but it's possible that he'll provide some much-needed answers in his next two books.
Eh...it was written better than his first two books, but it suffers from the same problem that plagues this book: Very important plot information never being revealed (not stuff that is secret for a later date, stuff that, if it had been written better, should have been revealed)
c) I enjoyed a lot of OST. It answered a few things, but it also fucked some more shit up as well.

uhm, that should be 'stuff.' My stiff is never nihilistic.

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
You'll have what we're having.
Yes.
Yes.
You'll have what we're having.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I would apologize for enjoying Stonewielder, but I won't.
If you don't like Esselmont, don't read it.
"You'll have what we're having" was a Meg Ryan When Harry Met Sally joke, for those (probably all of you) who didn't get it.
