For those who've never heard of it, it looks something like this:

Only the actual game is prettier and the music is better and the atmosphere is even more awesome.

Just finished it. Like Flower it wasn't very long, I think it took me/us 2 maybe 2,5 hours to get through.

I think it may possibly be my best videogame experience ever. It was that good.

I bought the game not knowing what it was about or how to play it. Except for a couple of button prompts there are no instructions in this game. Everything seems to be designed for you to figure out intuitively.

I'm not going to say what the game is about or what happens, you should figure that out yourself, but like the title says, this game is a Journey. I don't think I have experience a better one in videogames, cinema or in book form. It's just you and another player travelling over ancient lands.

Go and buy this game now if you're a playstation plus subscriber. If not buy it as soon as it becomes available. Considering the short length of the game it may seem pricy. It's not. Worth every penny.

Oh man, Aptorius, I am so glad to hear this review from you. I was hoping someone would say something to that effect. I have been waiting for this game since its first announcement. It looks like an incredible and moving journey. Can't wait to see what is in store.

Unfortunately I'm not a Plus member so I'll have to wait till next week.

You have something to look forward to.

I bet there will be people who hate it or find it... pretentious? But I thought it was really good.

If you liked Flower you'll love this game. If you didn't like flower then you should still give this game a go. It is the same approach but much better executed.

What about for people who can't afford a PS3? Is it worth robbing a gamestop?

It's a very short game. While you're there though you may as well steal some other games to make your theft worthwhile. I'm South African, I know the regret that comes with an unfulfilling theft.

Holy shit! I just finished this game (short game, but well worth it!). As Apt has alluded to if you have a PS3 you should get this game and try it for yourself (much like Apt, I won't spoil anything). It stands out as a unique experience in a platform landscape that is replete with FPS type games. The ending took my breath away!

Stunning game, worht every penny. One of the few actual emotional experiences i have had from a game, plus it's visually beautiful. Buy this game.

I have been playing Journey religiously since it came out. Close to 2000 Journeys and counting. It is without doubt my flavorite game ever. Glad to see there are some Journey fans here in the malazan forums. ;)

For PS4 owners and PS+ subscribers: The game is free this month (September, 2016 - October 4th or 5th). Be bowled over for free! :)

Same here although I can't compete with the amount of plays.

I do just stick it on when I can't think what to play though.

I finished Abzu again the other night - was fun just swimming with the whales but i ended up working through it all again.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

What's your PSN ID? Maybe we've Journeyed together a time or two? Mine is belovedklowny.
ABZU is yet another beautiful game with Matt Nova at the artistic helm. Doesn't have the extreme replay value of Journey unfortunately.

Can you load it free on PS3? I ll try the game but I don't want to have another game eating into my 500gb pussy hard drive PS4

Unfortunately, no, you wouldn't be able to load the PS4 version onto a PS3. But it's not a huge file, and you could always delete it after a few hundred Journeys. ;)

I have the exact opposite problem. Plenty of room on my PS4. Two PS3s full to the brim! ;)

I intend to pop my Journey cherry this weekend.

Always wanted to play it but never got around to it.

Went on ps3 last night and Journey IS available for free ps3 download to ps+ subscribers. Sorry about my earlier misinformation.

Umm I play with inverse controls and I can't bring up a menu to change.

Start the game and once you get control press the big fat pause pad, choose options with tiny button to the right of pause pad, then use X to cycle through the camera options to get your benighted inverse control scheme. ;)

Journey is one of my best gaming experiences. That part where you skate down the sand and you get the sunset and the mountain and the music.. Sigh.

Ok is this a random generate game? My PS3-4 is in different areas not long after starting.

Nvm.

Done. That was weird. What was the point. Pretty game but I just don't get it and most likely will never go again unless it's different stuff each new game?

Why did the chicken cross the road?

The point is how you got from A to B. It's the journey you set out on. It's living in the moment and sharing that experience with a co-op partner.
