Personally, I find that it's the teaching method that matters the most to me. if the instructor's trying to engage the students, i'm likely to enjoy the class.

I completely agree. I have fallen asleep in way to many classes. To then wake up and be able to contribute. It is sad really.

I completely agree. I have fallen asleep in way to many classes. To then wake up and be able to contribute. It is sad really.

my classmates are always amazed by that, whenever I just kinda jolt into awareness after 10-15 minutes of seemingly being asleep, and just answer whatever question's been asked.

The other day I walked into a advanced derivatives class with only 20 minutes left sat down promptly had the teacher call on me for a answer. And gave the complete thing then put my head on the desk... I love me a log normal graph that represents the movement of the underlying in relation to the derivatives.
