It just reads weirdly.

I think I get what is being said, though.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

What I took from it:

1. PM chat about the newb thread isn't going to happen because it's a hassle for the mods and not worth it, so we'll just have to be condescending here instead.
2. Nothing said since the rule clarification about what is OK in regards to the other thread has been unacceptable.
3. All hands to battle stations for incoming vote information.

Uhm, I suppose I should point out, I +rep'd this post on instinct. Probably shouldn't throw rep around during the game. My bad.

I don't really think there's anything wrong with rep during game. I guess theoretically it could be used to communicate but we rely on good faith with regards to cheating anyhow.

It could be used to signal and all other stuff though with no actual message even attached.

Are you giving someone feedback on their rep technique?

Not on their technique, but their analysis of what to rep as a whole. It's a paradigm shifting statement, to be honest.

I guess but that relies on people interpreting it as a signal, and if we treat it as something with no bearing on the game I can't see it being interpreted that way.

Idk, I won't rep until after game if people really think it shouldn't be done, but personally I'd have no qualms allowing it.

The scummiest person in an entire overview re-read is <drumroll>

The Dude.

His carefully pushy posts while appearing conciliatory and measured as he casts suspicion on both JA and Grief at the same time while no one notices him.... This is why he's the ghost and dangerous when scum.

To me, everyone else is just dicking around.

Vote The Dude

sucker's nigh impossible to lynch

Is that a serious vote, Shin? I forget if you have a thing with The Dude or not.

Looks serious to me, and an interesting third option.

And it's been so long since Bent played that I can't remember - does he always attack randomly in all directions or is he doing it to potentially throw us off the scent (dog, scent, he he)? I know he hasn't played for ages and might be overexcited, but he looks like he's overegging it a bit.
