And Obama just implied that every other country in the world is 'dispensable'. :p

Not the first time he's said "remains the one indispensable country in the world."
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Not surprising. But it strikes me as the kind of thing the conservative trolls will be all over. Probably already are on Twitter....

"Latin America is a huge opportunity for us..." Talk about dog-whistling. :p

I love how Romney conceded the bipartisan education plan not being his so that he could claim credit for the tuition initiative. :p I'd like to think Obama did that on purpose....

I love how Romney touts balancing a budget in business. That was not his business model! Not balancing the business' budget, anyway. Bain's model is almost zero-risk, which makes balancing a budget not a concern at all. The US does not have the ability to buy stuff with someone else's money and stick someone else with the debt. But the president does. And that's what Romney did as a businessman.

Yeah, the Battleship thing was definitely a prepared zinger. But I missed the bit after that, that people laughed at. (Caught the horses and bayonets though. :p )

Oooh, Romney wants to indict Ahmadinejad!

Glad Obama called Romney out on the apology tour bullshit, I've been so sick of hearing that crap.

And even as I type this, Romney is still calling it an apology tour *rolls eyes*

Is Mitt going to cry because he couldn't boss the moderator into giving him time to respond?

Romney's foreign policy has completely rolled over and become Obama's Foreign Policy while being White.

What an etch-o-sketching slimy s.o.b.

No, Romney...Iran has an address. Pakistan, which has an open relationship with the Taliban and various other extremist groups, already has nuclear weapons, as you said so many times. Terrorists without addresses are our greatest threat, and nuclear weapons are only the worst iteration possible of that threat.

I don't see anyone linking this yet.

Have not watched the debate as I've been at work, but this was on another board I visit.

Oh, that's not true at all. Romney completely abandoned his prior policies and snuggled up to Obama, and then Obama hammered him on lack of actual knowledge. This was easily an Obama win. Polls will show it too.

Yay !

Faster than a speeding bullet, America is " ...the hope of the earth."

That's reassuring, god that blokes a twat.

As a non yank I thought El Presidente won comfortably, although I would have liked him to have had a real go at Mittens' statement about the US being " 4 years closer to a nuclear Iran" what total horseshit ! Dubya and his pappy were spewing the same crap when they were in power.

Also regarding the closing statements, where/how is Mitt going to create 12 million new jobs ?
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that the economy will produce that many jobs over the next 4 years no matter who is president (barring seriously radical policies).
