HIGH HOUSE MAFIA!

Give me the names of the best game you created so I can link your name to that game. If you have more than one, that would be great too.

And D'rek, care to let me know to what other threads/designs you wish to be linked.

Thanks.

Really, I would like a new person to the site to be able to say "Who the hell is that?" and by looking at the Compendium determine "ooooh, I remember this thread/post. This is that guy."

Why would a 'new' person to the site remember an 'old' thread? Are these new people old people in disguise?

Ah, welcome back loki. I was beginning to miss your assistance round these parts.

Pet peeve of mine—'round' and 'around' are actually two completely different words. Just saying.

The best game I created is called Tonsil Field Hockey. It's like regular Tonsil Hockey except, you know, knee-high socks.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I'm not trying to make a point or anything—your necromancing habits have nothing to do with me. HOWEVER, this concept of necro-searches rather amuses me because isn't deliberately resurrecting dead threads that no one cares about anymore, (or specifically 'needlessly reviving old topics') a ban-able offence in the Code of Conduct?

You are assuming I don't care about the threads I necro. And what does this have to do with the Compendium? I thought Trolling wasn't allowed on the site either ;)

It directly relates to the post that I quoted.

You're right with regards to trolling though. Although I think there may be an unwritten exception for larlAgongorry...

EDIT: And if there isn't, there should be!

Update: I am working my way through the mafia games, linking them to their authors. Let me know if I miss any, and I will try to star the most significant one per person (see Ment's list for an example).

WHEW!

That about does it. All the mafia games (no just the games not the spoilers too you greedy bastards) are linked to their respective person. If you want a list of the games in order of appearance, click on the Mafia MOD link and that should take you to the master list.

To HHM, please review and let me know if I messed anything up. Some of the creators of some games were not clear to me, so I may have given credit in the wrong place. Also, we have one game, GardenGnomes, that is an orphan, not linked to any one creator.

Now for the unlinked games, I gather some people may have the games downloaded onto their machines. If there was anyway to return them, I would, as a historian, be immensely grateful.

Also, I only have records back to game 13. Does anyone know what was before? Hetan or Malaclypse (if you read this) ?

Thank you all, with a special thanks to D'rek for her suggestions and input.

Games before 13 died in one of the earlier forum moves/crashes/upgrades or were pruned when they needed space, iirc. They are lost in the warrens afaik.

When Morgy, Mac, or I am in the game.

Ba dum tish.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Games before 17 used an off-site spoiler heaven. I remember trying to check if it still existed, and couldn't find it. (the forum was called "Starvald Demelain).

Also, I started playing at game 13, so it's natural I keep track of the games that came after.

Mafia 12- the long-standing record holder in length was entitled "the hazards of poor career choices", and featured A malazan setting, with Caladan Brood's army as town, and Claw as scum.
Mafia 11-was run by Morgoth, featured angels as scum, in Hell.
Mafia 1 was also Malazan-titled "the holy mule is assailed"
Mafia 2 was Claw v Assasin's guild... I htink In darujhistan
Mafia 3 was set in Black coral, but it Imploded.
THen there were 2 games about vikings.
Mafia 6.66 was the first merc game, 3 clans of dragons "Dark, shadow, light"
MAfia 7 was (I think) based on roman history--the mod used was SPQR (or w/e it is), and I think Dinivan modded it?
There was a malazan-mafia--forumites travel into Malaz world but some are crazy.
There was also a Vampire mafia where vampires were scum

I have posted a far more accurate list somewhere on the forums (I recommend checking sighnup threads, or the mod thread in its entirety), with a much more accurate list. the one above is recollection purely from memmory (because I read all the old games when I first started out playing. DOn't think that'd be possible now)

Also, Drunk mafia was so epiuc, that we were far too hung over to remember its number. It was a mini, I think 18.5, becuase Gem was scum, and the first game Gem ever played was after Culture, but I remeber her playing in the drug-dragon game, b/c she was a symp and she got NKed early. It was also the game I had to reveal finder on Day 1 to avoid a lynch, Morgy revealed healer and kept healing me, and q21 was a BP vig and for once no one attacked him. Funnily enough, both me and Morgy lived to the end, and I made 0 scum finds.

EDITED: Night watch was made my General King,(he of Bletchley park game, and the Star Trek game) I just ended up modding it
I see what you wrote about orphans, but the game was a "finders' mini (1 regular, 1 insane, 1 naive 1 paranoid, 1 scum) ( I think), that was run by GardenGnome. who used to be a member.

I don't care about the lists in the slightest, but if my name is on something it has to be done properly, my name demands it

Also the "epic rant" really makes little sense out of context
